I make a new list every game. I know some people have a spread sheet (wackbone I think) and some people just wing it. I used to just wing it. But when you do the research the teams are much better I’ve learned.
Sometimes I don’t get to a list until after my first pick. Others, I’m ready to go before anything starts. All depends.

I make little mental short lists by positions in my head
Then I think about them obsessively and can't focus on anything else in my life

I have a Master spreadsheet with any players I could possibly draft in any potential draft game, ordered by position and relative value. Then I make a copy of that spreadsheet for whatever new game pops up and delete all players who don't fit the criteria, and then I reorganize the spreadsheet.
My master spreadsheet is far from perfect, and to be clear I don't always do this (although I probably do 7-8/10 times), but I find it super helpful. I used to either red or black out players others have selected but now I just delete them to make my spreadsheet smaller as the draft goes on. And for example if I knew I wouldn't be drafting another C in that draft I would delete all of the Cs in my spreadsheet.
I also often will use various colors to indicate my level of interest in players in upcoming rounds, typically no more than 20 or so at a time. Basically which guys I would most want with my next few picks.

I have a master spreadsheet as well which includes some custom statistics I built that are relevant for our games: things like a weighted average of relative standings within PER/WS/VORP and then dividing by Field Goal Attempts per game. I tweaked it over time to award things like spacing and whether they had earned an All NBA or All Defensive team

I don't do a spreadsheet for every game (mainly the ones that are very restricted and/or research heavy), but when I do it's more or less as wack outlined.

I'm a master in not doing a spreadsheet.
I do a spreadsheet of my team for each game though.

Yeah I reuse the same spreadsheet personally. And then adjust the filters

I list for the first few rounds. After that I wing it.
Never had a spreadsheet. I’ve played enough of these that I just remember guys.

I was initially creating a new list from scratch prior to each game, but it was time consuming. At some point I decided to create an extensive list of all frequently drafted players. I may modify it to come up with shorter versions based on specific draft restrictions or I may just go ahead with the extensive list. It's way quicker this way.
Obviously, the list needs to be updated from time to time. For instance, my most recent addition was Jalen Williams. I also rank players in tiers. Helps a lot when I'm undecided between 2 or more options. I think I moved SGA and Porzingis up 1 tier after the end of last season. Mind you, some players may belong in more than 1 tier. For example, Blazers Bill Walton is a potential first-round talent. Celtics Walton is a 6MOY talent. Rookie Tayshaun Prince is a dirt-cheap 8th man for 8-12 mins off the bench. 2004 Prince is a borderline starter. I could go on and on. Plenty of examples like these.

I mostly just predict the first two rounds or if it’s a franchise game write out the obvious players from each or make small list for each position. Otherwise I’ve played so many games that I can remember most of the players available.
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change

I'd like a spot in either end of the draft order, so if any of you are interested in swapping positions say so any DB can swap our positions

It's my time zone, I miss most of the day when all picks are made

Wow, missed seeing your name all together, sorry.
Would you like to swap?
