Vince Carter will have a great series, being guarded by Mike Miller and Ben Gordon - if Baron will let him have the ball every once in a while. Otherwise this series is all LeBron and teammates. ShaqSux in 6.

Very tough call. Nash, Butler, and Duncan is a pretty impressive trio to put up against Kobe and company. If CellarDoor had a guard who could at least slow Kobe down a bit, it might be enough, but Martin doesn't have a chance. Add a superior bench and it's Mascot in 7.

Good teams, good series. I like DCash's balance and his bench better; he takes it in 7.

I really cant decide on this, ill post later i guess :S
Decided
Dcash by his Veterans even though i dont like Redd or Iverson that much, I feel that his team is balanced much more.

Re: BaNT: 2nd rnd winners bracket: Shaqsux vs. ballboy4life
If i had a choice in this series i would make it the first to get +5 more wins than the other team since I dont really like either teams make up that much.
I feel that ballboys team has a few too many chuckers in Ford, Davis, Jackson and Gay.
Lebron makes Kidd uselss since he cant shoot the 3 and wont have the ball in his hands, and there is no bigs to open up room by drawing out big Z, Love and Kaman.
however i feel that Lebron wins out in this series and the rest of it negates each other.
Shaqsux in whenever Lebron can win 5 more than the other team.

I personally think Duncan is too much to handle for Mascot's team. I'm giving this one to CellarDoor in 7. Kevin Martin is getting underrated here, he's no Kobe, but dude is a freak.

I dont much care for Pau and KG playing together, and Dcash's team is so well balanced, give me Dcash in 6.

This is key. Kobe is an excellent help defender, but he has to have someone to help off of.
Also, I made it very clear the intent isn't to stop Kobe. If I limit his other three offensively capable starters and he can't limit a single one on my team too effectively with the exception of MAYBE Martin. With regard to the benches, How is Okur, Duhon who's having a very solid season, and two defensive roleplaying wings a bench that's getting killed by anything. He has a "deeper" bench, but with 2 HOF and 2 allstars plus one on the bench, I don't need to get into a deep bench.
Edit: as was just pointed out to me, is anyone looking at the stats this year? Tyson Chandler is having a horrible year offensively and his rebounding numbers are down pretty far. That's WITH Chris Paul feeding him and most team's best big on West.
Kobe is an amazing player. He's either 1a or 1b in a playoff series between these teams. The problem is I've got 1a/1b, 2, 3, and arguably 4 but 2 of the next 3. And a lot of people capable of creating for others or the own shot. The question isn't limiting Kobe or Duncan. You can't. The question is everyone else. I'll take a remaining lineup of Nash, KMart, Butler, Haywood (and Okur) over a declining Bibby, RJeff, West, and Tyson Chandler offensively and defensively.

Basically agree with the above. The issue here is that the team isn't playing completely to Dwight's strengths either with the ball dominant wing.

Rose may be quick, but he's an absolutely horrendous defender against Harris. Check the logs or watch the games this year. This is Cash 5.

It's very hard to mentally graph a rotation picture without the mpg for each player listed. Just heads up Mascot. I'm just going to tie up the series so i don't have to be a decision maker later. This one is so close.
CellarDoor.

see Steve Nash without Mike Dantoni, his numbers have dropped significantly. New York is something like 29th in the league i believe in pace set, obviosuly everyones numbers are inflated. How is Bibby declining and Nash not also? Butler is haveing a decent season on one of the worst teams in the NBA. How many games has Haywood played this season btw? 0? as far as i remember this was about winning this season, thats the reason Arenas dropped down to like the 9th round. Okur is not going to be able to push around Chandler down low and Chandler will get his Garbage buckets which is all i ask of him.

This was clarified a long while ago. Haywood counts. And why on earth would Okur want to push anyone around? He's a shooter. And there's a difference between making claims about Nash without D'Antoni and calling it Nash with Porter. Nash in Phoenix without Porter (granted small sample size) has been fantastic.
Chandler may get garbage buckets, but if your 30+mpg player is managing less than 10 points on a team with MoPete/Rasual Butler starting at SG, how many garbage buckets do you think he's getting on a team marginally better than this year's Lakers? Duncan will greatly limit west, Haywood can protect the paint, Butler is an above average defender on RJeff, and Bibby is purely a shooter this year.
Comparing two players and saying they're both on the decline is nice and all, but aside from the change in coaching to getting rid of Porter, which you forgot about, Nash was a lot better to begin with. Look at it this way: Shaq is declining and Kurt Thomas is declining too. It's an interesting fact, but Shaq is still better. Nash (even with a horrible coach trying to "run" an offense) is scoring about .5 points less, getting nearly 5 more apg, shooting 5% better from the field, 3% better from 3, and about 17% better from the FT line.
