Trade #82: Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers

Miami Heat trade:
John Wall
Mike Miller
Andres Nocioni

Total: $17,580,080

Cleveland Cavaliers trade:
Kyrie Irving
Nick Young
2012 NY 1st Round Pick
2015 MIA 1st Round Pick

Total: $11,144,280

We hate losing John Wall but feel he isn't the best fit with LeBron. With the trade we get the future Deron Williams, and with his great shooting and off-ball ability, we feel he can be a much better star in terms of fit. Nick Young is also a great shooter and terrific defender, and he'll be a nice fit in the starting lineup.

We also dump Miller and Nocioni, lose $6m in salaries this season, and gain two 1sts as assets.

Confirmed. We think Wall can become the next elite PG, and weren't as high on Irving's potential. We have to take on some salary and give up a couple picks, but it's worth it for Wall.

BOS and IND have a trade to announce

Trade #83

IND gets:
Tiago Splitter $3,672,000
2012 MIA 1st

BOS gets:
Jared Dudley $4,250,000

Trade obviously works.

Great deal for both parts, we are sad to lose our PF/C backup but we had too many players there and needed a SF, and we got it with Dudley who is a great shooter and great defensive player. Nice dealing Pacers.

LAL gets:
Kyle Lowry $5,750,000
James Johnson $1,883,000

Total Salary: $9,033,000

BOS gets:
Tony Parker $12,500,000
LAL 12 1st

because I'm the one getting the extra salary it will be in 100 percent+ 5M deal trade works.

Last year Lakers' biggest problem was athleticism and young legs, I believe I solved that problem with James Johnson+Sonny Weems, they are great atheletic guys that will learn the game under Kobe-Pierce-Garnett-Duncan, also the other problem was defending the quick guards, solved that problem with Kyle Lowry I think.

TOR and DET have a trade to announce.

TOR outgoing:
Martell Webster $5,256,000
Nikola Pekovic $4,503,600
Stephen Curry $3,117,120
total: $12,876,720

DET outgoing:
Rodney Stucky $7,500,000
Francisco Garcia $5,800,000
Jason Maxiell $5,000,000
Greg Monroe $3,007,920
total: $22,307,920

TOR has the caproom to make this work. Monroe will be a top tier big in our estimation. Monroe/Lopez is a young, elite frontcourt. Stucky is 16/3/5 on very good defense and great size.

TOR and PHX have a trade to announce.

TOR outgoing:
Francisco Garcia $5,800,000
Brook Lopez $3,076,983
total: $8,876,983

PHX outgoing:
DeMar Derozan $2,625,000
J.J. Hickson $2,354,537
total: $4,979,37

PHX is way under the cap so it works. We bring back our franchise player DD, except now he is in a supporting (Harden) role to Durant. Hickson is 14/9 and a better fit beside Monroe.

^ We accept the above deal.

We finally land a cornerstone for this franchise. It sucks losing Demar and Hickson but good centers are hard to come by.

Lopez, Jimmer, Wright + 3 picks in a deep draft = bright future for the phoenix suns

Golden State trades:
#87

Elton Brand $10,000,000 / $9,550,000 / $9,100,000

Washington trades:

Ryan Gomes $4.000.000 - $4,000,000
Al Harrington $1,352,181 $ 1,352,181
Marcus Morris $1,519,400 - $1,633,300

= $6,871,581

Washington is under the tax line so the 150% rule applies.

For GS, Brand was redundant with Scola and we needed some SF options. Morris in particular was appealing.

Trade #88

Wolves-Raptors blockbuster

Wolves outgoing:
Kevin Love $4,609,704
Jermaine O'Neal $6,226,000
total: $10,835,704

Raptors outgoing:
Greg Monroe $3,007,920
DeMar DeRozan $2,625,000
Ronnie Turiaf $4,000,000
total: $9,632,920

Raptors over the soft cap so deal works. We hate to lose Kevin Love, but it's far more easier to find good PFs opposed to good Cs. We get a good young C in Greg Monroe and an up and coming 20 ppg slasher in DeMar DeRozan. He will compliment Rubio and Eric Gordon back court. We can play Anthony Randolph at PF (dropped 31/11 on Dirk when Love was hurt). Great dealing.

Love is a unque player, his league leading rebounding and range to the 3 point line, along with his efficiency is amazing.

Wizards accept this deal. We hate to lose Morris' potential, but need the proven production of Elton Brand to re-team with Kaman. This will be a movtivated group of veterans (including Nash) with skilled youth and depth. The addition of Brand after a full year of recovery will be a dominant front court and allow Thad Young to slide back to the SF postion when in their big line up. This deal will make the Wizards a factor in the East.

TOR and POR have a huge blockbuster to announce.

TOR outgoing:
Kevin Durant $13,603,750
Jermaine O'Neal $6,226,200
Kevin Love $4,609,701
John Salmons $4,000,000
J.J. Hickson $2,354,537
total: $30,794,188

Part 2: TPE: $13,454,520 (trade 29#)

POR outgoing:
Chris Paul $16,359,805
Emeka Okafor $12,492,500
Ray Allen $10,000,000
total: $38,852,305

Part 2: LaMarcus Aldridge $12,372,000

POR 2012 1st (top 14 protected to CHA)

We get a boatload for Love and Durant. The best pure point guard in the league, a young 1st option big that plays defense in LMA, a defensive anchor and shotblocker in Okafor and a sharpshooter in Allen who we've had like 5 times now.

Houston and Toronto have a trade to announce.

Rockets out:
Trevor Ariza ($6,790,640)
Shannon Brown ($4,500,000)
= $11,290,640

Raptors out:
Rodney Stuckey ($7,500,000)
= $7,500,000 + $5mil = $12,500,000

Houston makes this deal simply because we love the idea of adding the 25 year old Stuckey to our young core. He scores, passes well, plays great defense and is versatile. We feel like Harris/Stuckey can be really effective and play off of eachother well, and not to mention another passer in the lineup will benefit our dudes in the post D-Will and DMC. Good dealing, kind sir. 8-)

We get a 6th man in Brown and complete our starting 5 with a 3 point and defensive specialist. We can compete with any team in the league now.

POR accepts. We like this deal A LOT. Durant is the most valuable player in the league (not MVP, but more in terms of total value) and he is a monster scorer and rebounder. Love is a 23 year old All-Star, defending rebounding champ. JO and Hickson provide a nice replacement for Okafor, and I actually like Salmons a lot (always have). To top all of that, we save around 20M in pure cap, and now may be a favorite for Paul/Deron/Dwight in 2012.
