Yea that's my bad, I pm'd him thinking he'd get a notification email asap since he was on the clock for a while... we negotiated there quickly and just finished.

I get it, guys. We are all in different time zones and waiting is to be expected. I've just been waiting for my pick because I'm about to be unavailable for like 2-3 hours. The PM part was the main issue. If we see people negotiating, then we know they are doing something. That's all. Congrats on the deal.

You're on the clock (and for the rest of us, looks like we can take a powder).

kalenclayton wrote:It's pretty normal for a team to include another first when moving up in the draft, especially this high in the draft. We are just talking about two spots, but if your guy is there, it might be in your best interest to move up. It's also a risk on my part because I risk the chance to draft my guy. I'm not trying to talk you into it, but I'm just trying to tell you that this is pretty normal.

Now, about us. Lol
I think the starting point would be sending 10 for 12 and a future first (probably '19). I don't know how you feel about that because it might feel like a bit too much. I just know that it's my starting point.

So just to be clear, there's nothing else on my roster other than Stanley Johnson or a future 1st rounder that'll entice you to trade back, right?

If so, what kind of protection are you willing to accept on a 2019 1st? 'Cuz if I do this, it's gonna need to be steep, and then convert to a pair of 2nds. I'm not talking about Nerlens-Noel-Trade-Level, "This first rounder will absolutely never actually convey" protection, but it's still gonna need to be significant.

Sorry to do this, but I'm gonna have to pull any future 1st rounders off the table. Will be more than happy to kick you seconds or your choice of Smith, Ellenson, Hilliard or Boban. Otherwise, I'll probably stand pat.

So it looks like we aren't going out.

Unfortunately, it looks like we may not be well-suited for a deal. Thank you for your interest though.

We are quickly shopping the 10th pick of the draft. If no offer is what we are looking for, we will take a prospect.

We are looking to possibly move down and pick up either a young promising player or a future 1st(s).

Any offers?

Tha Jazz are still interested. Offer is the same I mentioned before.

Lyles+#30+ your choice of a first round pick in the next couple of years(UTA 2017, UTA 2018(lottery protected) or OKC 2018).

This is still being considered. I'm on the fence, but it's not a bad offer. I'm just testing the waters before doing anything.

I would offer harkess and 26 for 10... but that utah deal is pretty good.

Sure, if you pick my offer you can finalize the deal with those parameters in case you choose UTA 2018, the protection would be until 2023, when the pick becomes unprotected). I'm saying this because I will be offline for a couple of hours. Just so there is no confusion.

Cheers.

Not expecting any interest but we'll offer abrines, sabonis, and 21

We decline. We would want something to the beat of 15, 20, and the '19 unprotected. I'm not sure if you like that or if that is even better than Utah's offer, but that is the one we would go for. We really like Harkless too, but he isn't worth the 16 place drop to us.

Not a bad offer at all. Unfortunately, don't have much of a need for Johnson's services anymore (too many wings on our team; he's not fully a pg, more of a combo guard). We have to decline. Thank you for the offer though.

It's actually a pretty solid offer depending on how highly you think of Sabonis. I actually really like the guy. I will keep this in mind.

As many future 2nds as you can stomach and/or the future OKC "first" which is top 20 for one year (likely 2020) and then two 2nds.

That's interesting. I actually thought you would have gone for the latest guy people compared to Dirk.
Why rely on nuance, facts and logic when you can bludgeon the other side with mindless repetition of "Duuur McDaniel's has potential :tooth and still be treated as if you were reasonable.

OKC will up the offer to abrines/ sabonis/21/2018 chi 2nd

Just throwing it out there but if the kings accept OKC's offer I'd flip 10/Kanter for 17/18.
