The Dallas Mavericks and Charlotte Bobcats have agreed to the following:

The Bobcats will send

Desagana Diop : 5,585,000
Vladamir Radmanovic: 6,049,400
Kyle Lowry: 1,163,520

Total: 12,797,920

Dallas will send:

Eric Dampier :9,550,000
JJ Barea : 1,500,000

Total: 11 Million

11x1.25 = 13.75 >12,797,920

Bobcats accept this deal. We get rid of players who no longer have a future with our team and add a promising young backup in Barea.

Accept, I dont need a guy who makes a huge amount and does little to match his worth, also I just got Samuel Dalembert, plus I really love Lowry and I need him to back-up Kidd since Barea is more of a 2, and finally I get a good sharpshooter with Radmano.

The Lakers accept because we got the SG we were looking for, and teams will have to think twice now before they want to double Lebron. As well Ray Allen contract ends in 2010, but if things work out maybe he can comeback in 2010 as well.
We wish Lamar success In NY, and thank him for the energy he provided off the bench

Prior to the trade New York Waives Joe Crawford
New York Accepts, while Ray Allens stint here was short, the whole purpose obtaining him was to get more picks in this draft class. There are a lot of players who are declaring too early for the draft and are going to go late, in 2 years in the NBA could be great players. Also Odom is another big which i needed badly.

Jason Collins $6,200,000 (expiring)
Shelden Williams $3,395,760 (expiring)
Marreese Speights $1,542,600
2009 PHI pick (top 5 protected)

for

Chris Kaman $9,500,000
Fred Jones $459,782 (expiring)

I like Speights, but I have Amare at the PF spot and no C. Kaman is only 26 and is the above average, defensive mind C I was looking for. Not many C's in the draft and certainly none at the PHI pick (17?). I am giving up assets I got in the PHI trade and I am please I was able to turn them into a legit C, not many of them left in the league. Currently have: Stucky/Iggy/Gallo/Amare/Kaman. Still shopping Barbosa and Amare.

Trade NOT accepted. There seems to be a confusion here, the deal should have included another first pick from Detroit, will need to sort this out first before accepting it.

After much bantering it seems the deal won't be happening, not willing to give up 2 firsts. Trade is void.

Wizards/Cavs have to come to a deal:

Larry Hughes $12,827,676
David Lee $1,788,033
for
Antawn Jamison $9,923,285
Mike James $6,244,083

14.62x1.25=18.27>16.1

Wizards accept. Larry Hughes might be terrible, but his contract expires before 2010, and David Lee is the ideal hustle player for this Wizards squad lacking that intensity. The Wizards would like to thank Antawn for his time, and wish him the best for success on a contender in Cleveland.

Cavs accept. We now have a third 20-pt scorer in our starting lineup. Jamison provides a nice hi-lo combo with Bynum. James gives us a nice backup point and the ability to turn water into gatorade while rappin' his new single.

I know this is old and all but unless i am crazy this trade was illegal. OKC have 12 players under contract after this trade. Isn't 13 the minimum number of players a team should have under contract? (12 active and one inactive) OKC still have 12 players on their rooster :(

I question why this ancient history is being brought up and IMO the commish is doing a fine job on his own...
but if it is illegal I'll add Devin Brown's minimum contract to the deal since I still have him on my roster and I had him on my roster at that time.

I am not complaining. Just found out OKC have 12 players. Checked his trades and found out his last trade was a 5x4 players trade, which might be the reason he have 12 players.

I agree he is doing a fine job on his own :) and i agree, he should just add a min salary to his roster and that's it. But people should keep their roster updated and organized to make the commish job easier so things like this don't happen again :P

The roster minimum has always been 12, at least in the last two games I was in it was 12.

Minnesota and Indiana have agreed on a trade

Indiana trades
M.Baston (2,272,860)
McRoberts(711,517) = 2,984,377 x 1.25 + 100,000=3,830,471

Minnesota trades
Mardy Collins (1,034,760)
M.madsen (2,630,000) = 3,664,476
Boston 2009 1st

Minnesotya agrees were high on Collins, but after recent addinions he would have been our 4th or 5th PG. We needed to add a late 2009 1st rounder to take Madsens 2010 contract but feal we still have enough picks to get the players we want. Hopefully we will be able to reach and agreement for Baston to stay because we like his talent

Indiana accepts, we lose two expirings, but in the process get a semi talented combo guard that adds some depth, though anything but PG depth is what we need haha, but the main incentive is picking up another first rounder which we could hope to use as a valuable trade asset or find a gem towards the end of the first round.

The roster limit is actually 12, http://members.cox.net/lmcoon/salarycap.htm#Q64

Here is the quote from it. "A team must have 12 players on its active roster, although they can drop to 11 for up to two weeks at a time. They must suit up at least eight players for every game."

-So OKC had the right amount, you can actually drop down to 11 at a time for a short period (like to complete a trade or something as long as you pick someone up soon after or complete another trade.
