Yeah I was just about to email you and say. Sorry for not telling you beforehand, but am 99% certain that Mascot would confirm the answer was no.

yes the answer would have been no. Most GMs agreed with no signing of players who are semi retired. Its circumventing the CBA, it was looked down upon by the NBA head office when it happend the few times it did.

The Chicago Bulls, and Los Angeles Lakers have agreed upon a deal.

The Bulls send Luol Deng ($10,365,000) and a wafer thin mint in exchange for Emeka Okafor ($10,797,500). Deal obviously works.

Bulls accept. We hate to lose Deng, as he's having a nice bounce back season, but with the recent additions of both Chandler and Richardson, it allowed him to be expendable, and allow ourselves to address a larger need, a center that could replace the void Noah left. Okafor's contract is large, but he and Deng's are nearly identical, and we pick up a player, that's currently growing with Paul, and can be the defensive anchor we sorely need.

I have know idea where you got the idea that I was doing a trade with you...

Psych!

The Lakers are especially happy to get the wafer thin mint deal. Deng is a nice addition as well. We were in need of a starting SF so Amare can move to the 5 and Bosh to the 4. The wafer thin mint will come in especially handy as a palette cleanser and was the sticking point that once agreed upon allowed this deal to move forward.

The Lakers accept the minty freshness.

The Toronto Raptors and San Antonio Spurs have agreed on a deal:

Raptors Trade:
Jose Manuel Calderon $8,219,008

Spurs Trade:
Roger Mason $3,780,000
Matt Bonner $3,256,500
Total: $7,036,500 x 1.25 = $8,795,625 > $8,219,008

Raptors accept. It sucks to part with Jose especially when I have Gasol now for the spanish connection but I really can't have both Jack and Jose on the team and Jose's salary is just too much of a burden for my team. This saves me cap flexibility for later on for roster moves

Spurs accept. Its sad to see two good 3 point shooters leave this squad but we warmly welcome Jose Calderon as a Starting PG to help assist this team win alongside Duncan, Ellis, Ginobili and Jefferson. Calderon is an upgrade at the point guard position for us.

The Blazers and Bucks have agreed to a trade...

Rudy Fernandez 1,165,320
Travis Outlaw 3,600,000
Jerryd Bayless 2,143,080
2010 2nd round pick (best of POR/CHI)
6,908,400

for

Steph Curry 2,710,560
Luc Richard MAM 736,420
Joe Alexander 2,583,360
6,030,340

It's tough to send out three of our core players, especially when they're all so young, but we really like Steph's fit next to Roy and LRMAM holding down the three with Batum. We believe that Curry is already a solid pro with a really high ceiling while Rudy is a bit older and strictly a SG. We're very high on Mbah a Moute, especially after his second half performance against Durant recently. He will be one of the elite defenders in the NBA for quite some time and has a very cheap contract. We were high on Bayless, but we're not sold on him being a great compliment to Roy. Joe Alexander is simply an expiring contract who we don't plan on keeping around.

We're happy to finally get a trade on the board and this one is big! It's tough to send out three of our core players, especially when they're all so young, but we really like Steph's fit next to Roy and LRMAM holding down the three with Batum. We may have lost a big on overall talent, especially when Joe Alexander and the pick are brought into the mix, but we really like the fit.

Confirmed: We lose probably the best talent in Curry, but bring in 3 cheap young guys that can contribute for many years to come, as well as getting a decent 2nd rounder for more cheap talent.

Houston Trade: Yao Ming, Kyle Lowry ($18,413,321)

Deals works financially.

Detroits reasons: Detroit take the big plunge and trade off 2 big assets in Ben Gordon and Tayshaun Prince and go for their new franchise guy in Yao Ming who is currently injured and will sit the remainder of the season. They shed plenty of long term salary in doing so and look towards the future. Detroit accepts this deal and are excited about Yao joining the lineup from next season on.

Houston accepts happily. We want to be players in this game this year and are impatient with Yao. Ming will be heavily missed here, since we drafted this guy and hes played his whole career here. Honestly Ben Gordon and Tayshaun Prince are just too good to pass up. Good dealing with you detroit, had a lot of good offers for ming, yours was the best. Also, 2 of Ariza, Battier and Prince are on the block along with TMAC's big EXP deal. Looking for a center.

there has been a veto request on this trade. normal time for approval still in effect.

WAS hates to lose Baron Davis, but his long term salary and injury history made him a poor fit for a rebuilding team. Rush is filler. Ollie was an emergency option and not in the long term plans.

Holiday is an intriguing young talent, who is starting to get significant court time. Earl Watson is a solid vet on a cheap expiring contract. TJ Ford is a risk but only has 2 years on this deal.

Trade approved.

Trade...

Knicks receive:
Manu Ginoboli - 10,728,130
Michael Finley - 2,500,000
Theo Ratliff - 825,497
2010 1st round pick
2012 2nd round pick
TOTAL: 14,003,627

Spurs receive:
David Lee - 3,500,00 (half of 7,000,000 for BYC status)
Brian Cook - 3,5000,000
Jerome James - 6,600,000
TOTAL: 13,600,000

Knicks Logic:
We weren't going to keep Lee in the off-season anyways, so we get some draft picks and add a pretty good 2G (a position that needs improvement on the roster). I think Manu will do well in D'Antoni's system.

Isn't Lee a BYC player so it would not work for SA

Charlotte and Dallas have come to an agreement:

Charlotte Trades:
Tyson Chandler $11,700,000
Maurice Evans $2,500,000

Charlotte Receives:
Josh Howard $10,890,000
JJ Barea $1,657,500

outgoing>incoming

Dallas Trades:
Josh Howard $10,890,000
JJ Barea $1,657,500

Dallas Receives:
Tyson Chandler $11,700,000
Maurice Evans $2,500,000

$12.5x1.25 = $15.68 > 14.2

Charlotte accepts. I like this deal for both parties to be honest. I acquire a wing with some nice slashing ability for a center who I wanted to move to make way for Al Horford. JJ Barea will actually be the starter as we continue the search for a starting PG and Maurice Evans, although a nice piece, isn't a huge loss for us.

Dallas accepts. We're excited to bring in a big man of CHandler's quality without having to give up Beaubois. We needed to replace Drew Gooden after losing him in the Arenas deal, and we think we've done that well, as CHandler anchored the #2 defense in the NBA in CHA. Mo Evans is a great fit as a defensive 2 who can knock down the 3 ball.

Spurs Accept. Spurs lacked an experienced true center and David lee completes the puzzle. Ginobili's explosiveness off the bench, ball handling ability and being a good mid range shooter as well as a slasher will be missed but we warmly welcome David lee. David Lee is a great rebounder and a very good post player. Has the ability to handle the ball very well and can fit with Duncan quite well in the paint.
