OKC and CLE have agreed to a trade(prior to this deal, CLE signs Jeremy Tyler to a contract)

OKC sends
Nick Collison

CLE sends
LBJ TPE(we absorb Nick Collison first) --> what remains of the TPE: 710 363
2012 CLE 2nd
2013 MIA 1st

we think Nick Collison is one of the best backup Cs around, plus with his unique salary structure(OKC paid a huge sum of it already), then its a good deal for us. nice dealing!

Prior to this deal OKC sign Emir Preldzic to a rookie min

We do this trade to free up the last bit of money needed for FA while adding an early 2nd rounder to help with next year's roster.

OKC accepts

NOH and MIN have agreed to the following trade:

NOH sends:
Andray Blatche ($6,442,083)
Quincy Pondexter ($1,153,800)
Derek Caracter ($788,872)

MIN sends:
Landry FIelds ($788,872)
Anthony Tolliver ($2,050,000)
Ryan Hollins ($2,483,333)

Salaries all work out because we are both under cap.

NOH sheds more salary through Tolliver and Hollins for the upcoming 2012 FA but also gets some prospect back in Landry Fields for Blatche. Good dealing!

Minnesota accepts. Sure, we add a bit of longterm salary in place of expirings, but in this game, Blatche is cheap compared to what he would likely get on the open market. Plus, I'm TERRIBLE at GMaT FA. Blatche has improved his statistics every season, and I needed some offense from the post position. Fields is good, but I have two Lee's on the roster who can fill the void.

Accepted.
This deal has been in the works for like a week.

West - $6,500,000
Artest - $6,790.640
2016 NJN second (he forgot to add it)
Total: $13,290,640 x 1.25 + 100,000 = $16,713,330

FOR

Peirce - $15,333,334

Salaries work.

We do this to get the 4th best SF in the league.
Bron, Melo, KD, Peirce. He will form a deadly duo with Dwill. We love this trade going forward.
Good dealing. Also, this 5 day rule is hindering the game. just throwing that out there.

Trade #93

Phoenix and Detroit have agreed on a deal

Austin Daye ($1,929,600)

for

Aaron Brooks ($6,000,000) - $3,000,000 with BYC

Deal works as Detroit has cap space to absorb Brooks

Phoenix does this to clear up the PG log-jam and get a young SF with good potential

TRADE AGREED between NOH and CLE:

Hornets send:

Terrence Williams( $2,369,040.00)
Daequan Cook ( $3,000,000.00)
Worst of 2012 2nd rounders (NOH, IND)
2013 TOR 2nd

Cavaliers send:
Martell Webster ( $5,256,000)

$5,396,040 < $6,570,000.00 =1.25*$5,256,000 so math works out. I dump a somewhat baggy salary and get back martell who is expiring and we wish terrence good luck and that he will do the cavs some good at the 2-3 spot! great dealin, cavs!

Cavs take on a baggy contract to get 3 young pieces to add to its team. Cavs are very happy that they are building a future very similar to what OKC had. nice dealing, RR9.

The Detroit Pistons confirm this trade and believe Aaron Brooks offers another option in running a versatile offensive team from either the point position or playing off the ball. Detroit feels the combination of Sessions, Calderon, Lopez, Stuckey and Brooks will create endless matchup problems for most teams.

#95: LAL and DAL have a trade to announce:

To LAL:
Brendan Haywood ($7,624,500)
Dexter Pittman ($788,872)

Total: 8,413,372

To DAL:
Udonis Haslem ($3,780,000)
Daniel Gibson ($4,403,834)
2012 LAL 1st

Total: 8,183,834 * 1.25 + 100,000 = 10,329,793

Deal works.

LAL accept. It hurts to lose a 2012 1st, but we didn't need it. Haywood is an AWESOME center. He does everything you'd want in one, rebound, defend, block shots, play good D, POST UP. He's proven to work well with Dirk, and ever since we traded Dwight, we were lacking an inside, defensive presence, and this brings us one.

I accept the above deal because I wanted Pop Tarts for breakfast but we're all out, had to eat Weet Bix instead.

#96: LAL and NJN have a trade to announce:

*Before this trade, the LAL waive the UNG contract of Dexter Pittman

To LAL:
Monta Ellis ($11,000,000)
Josh Powell ($854,389)

Total: 11,854,389 * 1.25 + 100,000 = 14,917,986

To NJN:
Al Jefferson ($14,000,000)

Total: 14,000,000

Deal works.

LAL accept. With the last trade I made, I had no need for a combo big like Al. Ellis is one of the most underrated players in the league IMO. He is 24/6/4/2 and plays average defense, a true superstar. He can fill the need at PG until we can move Thornton for a true PG. Him and Dirk make an awesome combo, along with Haywood, Deng, Thornton and Odom, we have a solid team going forward. Nice dealing bness.

Charlotte in / Dallas out:
Jared Jeffries - $8,000,000
Omri Casspi - $1,341,960
Total Salaries - $9,341,960

Dallas in / Charlotte out:
Boris Diaw - $9,000,000
2013 Charlotte 2nd
2015 Charlotte 2nd

Bobcats accept. To say that Casspi is better than anybody else we've got to play SF is an understatement.

We accept.
Why the hell not. My head is telling me to do this, but my heart is telling me not. Ellis happens to be my thrid favorite player in the league behind Kobe and Dwill, but big who can score in the low post don't grow on trees. We love Jefferson's game all around. We love that he can play either big man spot as well. Dwill / Chandler / Pierce / Jefferson is a solid ass core to have considering. Good dealin cuzo.

Trade is invalid because Charlotte matched Detroit's offer for Cunningham....besides, you would have to wait five days after signing a FA to trade him.

He meant Charlotte, not Detroit; the trade is with me. I will post a confirmation as soon as I figure out who I'm releasing to make roster space. And I leave it to the commissioner to decide if this trade is subject to the five-day rule - you remember that in a previous situation where a team traded its own RFA it was not, but if it is that's fine with me.

*Before the trade, POR will cut Jason Kapono, Anthony Carter, Earl Clark. WAS will then sign Kapono, Clark to 1 year min. deals.

Wizards Get
Gerald Wallace $10,500,000
POR 2013 2nd
POR 2014 2nd

Total: $10,500,000

Blazers Get
Jordan Farmar $4,000,000
Brandon Rush $2,956,658
Peja Stojakovic $854,389
Samardo Samuels $788,872
TOR or DET 2012 1st (Worst of two)

Total: $8,599,919 x 1.25 + 100,000 = $10,859,899

Accept. I'm going to hate myself for making this deal I bet. The pick could go 2nd (I want Davis or Barnes), or Wallace could sign somewhere else. But I felt like this was another risk move I had to make. Wallace could be the guy that makes D12 and CP3 want to stay. He's a perfect 3rd option, capable of 16/8 with terrific defense. With a core of Paul, Wallace, Gibson, Howard, we will now look to just add a SG in FA.

I just made one of my main competitors that much stronger. But here we get much needed depth and a piece in Brandon Rush who I really like. He shot 42% from 3 last year and will fit well beside Kobe. He is a good defender as well, not Gerald Wallace by any means but solid. The pick should be top 5, we will shop it for an upgrade somewhere or add a rookie to our win now team come draft time.
