Liking this draft, maybe we should do the runners-up again at some point.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Wonder if you could do runner up with prephaps an And2 rule with restrictions e.g. 1 player never MVP or All NBA 1st (provides more 2nd/3rd options), one player never all star or All Nba (greater variety of role players).

In saying that there is probably more cores to select from with Runner ups? Many of the cores in this pool are the same (E.g GSW, Heat, Lakers 80s, 00s, 80s Boston, 00 Spurs, 90s Bulls etc...

Happy Thanksgiving Eve to everyone. For those of you non-US folks - make sure you get a good meal in tomorrow!

Final 4-non champions could be better.

Was considering Hayes instead of Love earlier. Didn't love his fit on my team though. Glad to see him picked

Irving/Smith/Durant/Lucas/Wallace is decent with Joseph/Maxwell/Howard off the bench is nice, it isn’t a contender tho unfortunately. My round 2 blunder really sucked lol

What’s the general consensus on my Hayes pick, had the FG available and he seemed like one of the best players available so I decided to go all in on my frontcourt.

What are you envisioning for your frontcourt rotation?

Duncan (22) / Hayes (26)
Robinson (30) / Duncan (18)

Something like that?

Imo he, along with Wes Unseld and Dennis Johnson are the biggest steals of the game. Duncan/Robinson/Hayes is by far the most Talented frontcourt in this imo.

I have Laimbeer, Fade, and Ness as the top three contenders as of now. But there is a lot of parity. Playoffs will be interesting for sure.

Looks like Unseld will see fairly significant time at PF next to Hakeem too.

There are quite a few frontcourts in this game where the guy playing PF is probably a true C. Or will play significant minutes split between the 4 and 5.

Gasol Brothers
Spurs Twin Towers
Unseld/Hakeem
Walton/Kareem

Really unique lineups in this overall.
