We could do it where you're allowed to draft a player lower than their tier if you want, eg if you wanted to draft Klay instead of a 2nd team player, or a non all-nba in place of the 3rd team. It's just in most situations it wouldn't be advantageous.

Not sure how easy it will be to find players who were 2nd team and not 1st team. Might be that some 3rd team guys will be better options

No 7-footers draft. Or maybe 6'10'' and under to exclude Timmy as well. For the purposes of the game, each player's height is determined exclusively by basketballreference.

A draft for players who never won a ring. With a lot of current elite players I think there's enough alphas.

Here's an idea: Presidential draft. Either:

1. One player that was drafted during the Presidency of the last 8 US Presidents

OR

2. One season from each of the last 8 US Presidents

A draft where we assume there will be no three-point shot.

We also have not done a declining percentages draft for a while

Here's an idea: Presidential draft. Either:

Might get a little bit too spicy.

I think just doing 8 year windows is a safer route.

What about a slotted draft game?

FGA’s don’t matter BUT you have to draft 8 players that fall into these categories. Nothing else would matter.

Is 5.0-6.9 FGA’s
Is 7.0-8.9 FGA’s
Is 9.0-11.9 FGA’s
Is 12.0-13.9 FGA’s
Is 14.0-15.9 FGA’s
Is 16.0-17.9 FGA’s
Is 18.0–19.9 FGA’s
Is 20.0 +

101 on the low, 115 on the high end….

We could tweak the numbers obviously but every team has to have one of each range…

The One-Two Punch and Realistic Big 3 drafts were a lot of fun. I like building teams that look slightly more realistic in terms of star power and having to select good role players.

How about giving people options?

Either 1 MVP + 1 2nd Team or lower, 2 non-MVPs, 1 non MVP 1st teamer + 1 2nd Team or lower + 1 3rd team or lower, etc. That sort of thing.
