Bucks trade/Celtics receive:

Luke Ridnour $6,500,000
Joe Alexander $2,403,120

7,707,120 X 1.25 + 100,000 = 9,733,900
9,733,900 > 8,903,120

The Celtics accept. Taking on Ridnour's extra year doesn't matter to us, and we feel Alexander's rookie season was a fluke and he can amount to something in the NBA.

21.37x1.25 = 26.71>23.17

Wizards accept. We pick up a first round pick and a solid leader in Jason Kidd. Losing Arenas hurts, but I need the extra cap space to work my magic (I'm a Wizard, get it?) in FA.

Total 14,542,400

for

Robert Swift 3,579,131 (used this expiring instead of parkers, assume it doesn't matter)

Collins 6,200,000

Speights 1,542,600

Gallinari 2,873,520

Total 14,245,525

We get a soon to be allstar on a great contract locked up for years to come, that is only 23. One of the rising stars in the NBA (and oh does he 'rise'), this trade will make more sense after as I plan on moving Amare for a C. We got both Speights and Gallo on the cheap and are pleased they netted us a play of Josh Smith's caliper. He fits the defensive minded team we here in DET are building. So far: Amare/Smith/Pick/Iggy/Stucky.

1. Part 1 stays same
2. McCants for 2.7 million TE from JO trade
3. Graham for 0.9 million TE from Artest trade

much thanks to skorff.

We get the defensive C we've been looking for. Currently anchoring a top defensive team, he is young and fills out my frontcourt. Okafor/Smith is an insane defensive pairing, and both are very young. The pick will help my rebuild. The expiring lets me cut even more cap room, and I have about 30 mill? In cap room this season. I we want Amare we will go after him in the offseason in 2010. My team is pretty much set.

Okafor/Smith/Iggy/Pick/Stucky.

Yep, confirmed, and I claim gerald Green

i just think this got skipped since it's in a difficult part of a continuation of a post, therefor its hard to locate this trade.

I hope this gets approved too, thanks.

Yeah, I felt weird kind of posting it, messing around with the trade checker, it works as one full deal (substituting salaries for players not on roster). I'll edit it.

I'd like to cut Mardy Collins and Sean Singletary before the deal..

Sacramento and Houston have come to a trade

Jamal Tinsley (6.75)
for
Brian Cook (3.5), Brent Barry (1.91), 2012 2nd

6.75/1.25 = 5.4
3.5+1.91 = 5.41

Sacramento does this trade for salary reasons

The Celtics accept. JO gives us a huge trading chip, so he is going right back on the block. In the unlikely scenario in which we are unable to trade him, it will be no big deal as his contract expires in 2010 anyway.

It's also a 2nd round pick for 2009. I think I changed my roster already, but it's an easy change back.

The New Orleans Hornets and Sacramento Kings have agreed on a trade:

Andres Nocioni (8.0m)

for

Speedy Claxton(5.8m), Jacque Vaughn (1.3m), NOH 2013 2nd Round Pick

The salaries are within the accepted range.

The New Orleans Hornets accept and are pleased to add Andres Nocioni to our squad. While we're taking on quite a bit of salary, we feel that Nocioni is paid a fair amount for his versatility and what he brings to the court.

DET and SAN have a huge trade to announce, a true blockbuster.

Josh Smith $10,000,000
Marquis Daniels $6,864,200
Anthony Parker-$4,550,000
Shelden Williams $3,395,760

Willie Green $3,388,000
IND pick 09 (unprotected)
PHI pick 09 (top 5 protection)
CLE 2nd rounder 2010
= About 28 mill

for

Paul Pierce $18,077,903
David West $9,862,500

Michael Finley $2,500,000
Ime Udoka $1,080,000
Matt Bonner$2,978,000
= About 34 mill

Within 25%.

Trade 2.

Leandro Barbosa $6,100,000

for

Shane Battier $6,373,900

The reason we do this is because we look around the league and see very few contenders. We have stockpiled picks, expirings (a ton) and young guys and are now trading them for vets. We no longer have our 2010 and 2011 picks and don't want them to be valuable. We lose around 14 mill in expirings and all of our picks and our 23 year old PF on a great contract, but you have to give to get. Barbosa is only 26 and a legit 6th man of the year canidate when the Suns are good, but we had to do this. Pierce has a huge contract but we have a whole at the SF position that he can fill nicely. He has a ton of help on this team and we are still one of the best defensive teams in the league. David West fits very well beside Okafor and gives our team the boost it need to go over the top. Unlike the other contenders we have no real holes in our starting 5 and we get some solid vets that will bolster our bench. We here is DET worked very hard to stockpile assets and are now ready to contend. NO, ATL, MIA there is a new team you now have to battle for the championship.

San Antonio accepts. We move a lot of our cap and vets for Smith, Barbosa, expirings and picks. With this trade we now have three firsts and three seconds in the 2009 draft. In addition, we immediately reduce our cap by abotu $5 million, while getting about $14 million off the books later. Although moving Bonner was tough, we intend to sign Tiago Splitter in the off season (european we own rights to) who this year has become a great player with his team.
