San and Atl have a blockbuster to annouce.

San outgoing-
Vince Carter - $16,123,250
Richard Hamilton - $11,375,000

for

Atl outgoing-
Al Harrington 10,026,875
Joe Johnson $14,976,754

We get one of the most underrated players in the league in Joe Johnson to pair up with Billups. We love what he brings to our team, and he is only 27. We feel that with the team around him we will resign with us. Harrington is a 10 mill exp so he is a useful piece as well.

I hear ya. I had Detroit in the game before I had Orlando and caught myself typing Detroit or looking for the Detroit roster. :)

BLOCKBUSTER DEAL

ImageHeat Sends:
Jason Williams ----------- $825,497
Flip Murray ------------- $825,497
Carmelo Anthony ------- $15,779,912
Stromile Swift ---------- $1,306,455
= $18,737,361

x 1,25 = $23,421,701

ImageGrizzlies Send:
Nene --------- $10,520,000
Jeff Green ----- $3,516,960
Rudy Gay --- $3,280,997
James Jones $4,330,000
Denver 2010 1st (Unprotected)
= $21,647,957

The Miami Heat proudly accepts. We've reviewed this trade carefully and spent the last hour evaluating it but decided that it would be the best for the franchise. We eventually turned D-Wade and Posey to Nene, Jeff Green, James Jones, Rudy Gay, Denver's 1st and Hedo Turkoglu, which we consider a great deal for us. The main concern in making the deal was lacking a franchise player, and this issue almost made me back out of the deal, but there's still plenty of time to get things sexier, and we just got a chunkload of ridiculous depth, and we could use other players as trade baits in the future. We get a better Center to start in Nene, who's been really great for the Nuggets, we get Jeff Green, who's a nice young stud who has plenty of room to improve, we get Rudy Gay, who has all-star potential and is a nice trading piece, we get James Jones, a nice veteran presence that has great perimeter shooting and good defense, and finally, an unprotected 1st Round Pick via Denver.

PG: Allen Iverson -- Nate Robinson -- Jason Terry
SG: Hedo Turkoglu -- Jason Terry -- James Jones
SF: Gerald Wallace -- Rudy Gay -- Hedo Turkoglu
PF: David West -- Jeff Green -- Jermaine O'Neal
C: Nene Hilario -- Jermaine O'Neal -- Jamaal Magloire

Now all we need is a better suited pass first PG and we are set. Hedo Turkoglu likely takes the reigns of our clutch department for now. Overall, we see it fine for both teams.

Memphis accepts. We couldn't pass up the opportunity to land an all star like Carmelo Anthony. We tried to get him earlier but failed. After much patience we get the guy we wanted...

Nuggets Receive:

Tony Parker- $12,600,000
Kwame Brown- $4,000,000

Total: 16,600,000 (15,750,000 x 1.25 >> 16,600,000)

Nuggets Trade:

Chauncey Billups- $12,100,000
Chris Anderson- $3,650,000

Total: $15,750,000

Spurs Receive:

Chauncey Billups- $12,100,000
Chris Anderson- $3,650,000

Total: $16,600,000

Spurs Trade:

Tony Parker- $12,600,000
Kwame Brown- $4,000,000

Total: $15,750,000

Nuggets heartbreakingly accept. Billups helped this team immensely and he will be sorely and deeply missed, but Tony Parker gives us a younger player who has championship experience, and fits our motto of remaining strong in the present while securing for ourselves one of the most promising futures in the entire league. We now boast a rotation in which no player is yet 30 years old.

TOTAL: $3,920,815

Timberwolves trade:
Bobby Brown $736,420

2011 MIN 2nd round pick

TOTAL: $4,336,420

$5,001,019 > $4,336,420 : Trade Works

Why for Houston: David Andersen, Chase Budinger, Joey Dorsey are towards the back of the depth charts due to a deep roster. Travis Outlaw represents an expiring contract, as well as a good backup SF. I also get two 2nd round picks and a young prospect in Bobby Brown.

We accept. Sorry to lose Birdman but we have a similar (somewhat..) player in Wilcox and couldn't pass up the chance to add Thomas, who will be moved shortly.

Salary:

Chris Andersen - $3,650,000
Ime Udoka - $1,033,342

for

Tyrus Thomas 4,743,598

There was one veto request on this deal but I am going to allow it since Gay will have a good size cap hold and Melo is a proven star.

Dallas Gets:
Jamal Crawford $9,360,000 $10,080,000
Mehmet Okur $9,000,000 / $9,545,000 / $10,890,000

Atlanta Gets:
Kyrylo Fesenko $870,000 / $1,087,500 QO
Corey Maggette....$8,937,931 -- $9,600,000 -- $10,262,069 -- $10,924,138
2011 Sac 2nd
Marcus Thornton $457,588 -- $762,195 -- $1,059,293

Utah Gets:
Marcin Gortat $5,854,000 -- $6,322,320 -- $6,790,640 -- $7,258,960 -- $7,727,280
Kris Humphries $2,900,000 -- $3,200,000

Dallas accepts because they improve their team overall and also get rid of Maggette's horrible contract. Also are sad to see Gortat go, he was a favorite of mine but in exchange for Okur i can't turn that down. I also like how my team would look after the trade.

C-Okur/Dampier/Diop
PF-Dirk/Johnson
SF-Marion/Young
SG-Crawford/McCants/Afflalo
PG-Kidd/Lawson/Beaubois

Still looking to get rid of Jaric for whatever though?

Utah accepts. I didn't like Okur's extension, and do this trade to get younger, improve our interior defense, and save some money. And, to make approving the trade easier, here are the salary figures for each team:

Dallas out - Maggette, Gortat, Humphries, Thornton - $18.2M
Dallas in - Crawford, Okur - $18.4M

Atlanta out - Crawford - $9.4M
Atlanta in - Maggette, Fesenko, Thornton - $10.3M

Utah out - Okur, Fesenko - $9.9M
Utah in - Gortat, Humphries - $8.8M
