Vince Carter - $3,090,000

Chicago send:

Jason Kapono - $854,389
Ryan Gomes - $854,389
Keith Bogans - $854,389

Total = $2,563,167 - works easy within the 150% rule

Part 2

Terrence Williams ($854,389) to Chicago. Works as T-Will is a min.

#299 Indiana and Atlanta

Indiana utilises $3.4m of the TPE generated in trade #252 - Granger/Holiday for Rondo, to absorb Derek Fisher from Altanta. This creates a $3.4m TPE for Altanta.

#300. Indiana and Orlando have agreed a trade.

Indiana sends:

Tyler Honeycutt - $809,875

in exchange for nothing. Works as Honeycutt is on a 2nd rounder min deal.

PHI and NJN have a trade to announce.

PHI outgoing:
Carl Landry $5,000,000
Brandon Jennings $3,179,493
total: $8,179,493

NJN outgoing:
JaVale Mcgee $12,500,000

Needed a center, and we welcome back Mcgee for like the 4th time. He isn't that bright but he is an athletic freak that can block shots at a high rate and play help defense. His offense will come along. Good dealing.

Pistons and Nets have agreed upon a deal.

Nets send Kris Joseph to Detroit for nothing, works as he's a minimum.

Pistons Incoming
Nicolas Batum ($15,000,000)

Nets Incoming
OJ Mayo ($8,000,000)
Tiago Splitter ($3,944,000)

Total: $11,944,000.00 X 1.25 = $14,930,000 + 100,000 > $15,000,000

Deal Works.

Pistons accept. We think Joseph has the potential to become the next LeBron.

Minnesota accepts. Really needed a center, Okafor is a good defender, rebounder, and a solid player around the basket.

Houston and Charlotte have a deal

Chris Anderson (2,330,000) for Dante Cunningham (2,090,000). Salary clearly works.

Houston does it because we like Villanova basketball. Also, we get an expiring, and don't worry about Birdman around our youth. Finally, because the next step after trading a starting center should always be to trade a quality backup.

Fits well within salary bounds.

Houston does it for 3 reasons: 1) It gets us a Joseph and Buford. 2) It clears a million in salary now, 3) It ensures Darko is our biggest contract (ignoring the waived Biedrins).

OJ Mayo ($8M); Carl Landry ($5M) & Nick Young ($6.5M) = $19.5M; to
Orlando for
Gerald Wallace ($18M - Thanks Chicago! but he is worth a High Draft pick per yesterdays deal) &
Rudy Fernandez ($2M) = $20M - Deal Works

The Nets are pleased to get an elite SF - hustle guy - boarding and defensive demon to team with Iggy who will slide to his natural SG spot. Rudy is a reliable backup - facilitator & streak shooter. Love moving our depth for the quality upgrade in a position of need (but I am still bitter about CHI excalating the salaries on these guys!) Great dealing with you ORL - feels like a win win.

Memphis in: Brandon Jennings, Brandon Wright
New Jersey in: Kemba Walker, Mason Plumlee
Memphis gets a prolific scorer who has been going off lately. Kemba is nowhere near as good as Jennings right now and Plumlee isn't a sure thing right now.

K Walker/Plumlee (2,452+1.418= 3.8) to B Jennings (3.2+ .947= 4.14) $$ works.

Bold move on Nets part, but they confirm. GM is drinking the MJ Kool Aid that Kemba has the "IT" factor and is a killer in closing situations. The season has taken a toll on Kemba's game & his minute are off since the break - the rookie wall. But while Jennings is lightning it up, Kemba is developing into the mold of making everyone around him better and willing to make the pressure plays down the stretch. This is also a New CBA era move in getting the rising star on the rookie deal.

B Wright is a known quantity - great talent with low BBIQ and questionable motivation. Mason Plumlee is a can't miss role guy who will bring energy and smart play to all the lunch pail chores every team needs. Tough call, but Kemba has 3 more yrs and Jennings gets paid next year. Time will tell. Thanks for your patience ALTBoy - Nice dealing.

Philadelphia outgoing: Paul Pierce($16,790,345) + Ryan Anderson($7,500,0000) + Meyers Leonard($1,823,280) = $26,113,625

New Orleans accepts. Still not 100% sure on this, but I got bored with this team, lol. Love Meyers Leonard as a prospect, Pierce should be solid for a few more seasons, and Anderson will be a nice piece to pair with Favors.

ATL has over 10M in cap and can make this work.

ATL accepts. First time I've made back to back trades in over 200 lol. I really hate this trade as Pierce is by far my least favorite player, but I guess it works. The past two trades have made my team a surefire playoff team that has leadership and heart to go far in the playoffs. I really wanted to build around my young core pieces (Monroe, Evans, Henson), and adding a leader like Pierce who can help in the locker room, down the stretch of games and as a leader is a great fit for my team. He also is close to Perkins, and it's always good to have your vets like each other.

Rockets out:

Rockets have the cap space to absorb the rest of the salary.

Wizards do this trade to rid ourselves of Davis' ugly contract, since Darko is only a partially guaranteed contract next year. Plus, we like Darko's ability as a backup center for us. Good dealing.
