yeah, sorry.

bryant08 can sticky/edit/delete stuff too, so that won't be a problem. trust me, i wanted to finish this out, but i'd rather not give a half ass effort towards the really important FA process.

I might consider moving Melo depending on the offer. Looking to fill-up PG and/or SG spot. No lowball offers please.

skflives (2:07:24 PM): The Knicks need depth at every position except shooting guard. We also wouldn’t mind shaving a couple million more off our 2010 salary figures and as we have shown in previous deals we would be happy to sweeten the deal to make it happen. While we would love 2010 expirings we would happily settle for deals like Jaric/Jeffries for a Songila type contract. The Knicks are also making Thabo Sefalosha, any of its 3 2010 second rounders and possibly its #43 pick available for the right deals.

I found this info on shamsports.com
http://www.shamsports.com/content/pages ... pholds.jsp

it was last years rookie scale (and it seemed that every player made more than what the scale said)
what I found interesting was at the bottom where it said
Answer: This is the rookie salary scale. The players drafted in the first round have to be signed to within 80% to 120% of the salaries listed above. That rule is inflexible. In practice, it is almost always 100%, with but the rarest of exceptions. See this long winded bollocks for more details.
But, it looks like every player was signed at the rookie scale x 120%
examples: #1 overall should make 4,019,000 from the scale x 1.2 = 4,822,800 which is what Rose makes.
#20 should make 1,063,600 x 1.2 = 1,276,320 which is what Ajinca makes
I checked about a dozen of the 2008 1st rounders and they all followed that pattern

also hoopsworld and shamsports have the same 2008-2009 rookie scale, thus I would say the scale from hoopsworld is pretty accurate for 2009-2010

-so it looks like that most rookies sign at the rookie scale that gremz found x 1.2 (120%), and that is there actual salary, if I interpreted it right

If anyone needs a small forward the Grizzlies have Damien Wilkins available in a salary dump type of deal. I would love to get a second rounder this year, or in the future, but that would not be a requirement for a trade. Wilkins is expiring this year, and averages 5 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists (or something like that). Alternately Jarvis Hayes is also available, but it would take a better offer to get him.

The Grizzlies are looking to trade a package of Jarvis Hayes+Hamed Haddadi, or Jarvis Hayes+Ian Mahimni for a good backup PF/C. It would be nice to get someone who can spread the floor, but as long as they play good defense and can score when they're open then the trade will most likely be accepted.

dcash4 wrote:alright gentlemen, the time has come for me to step aside from the little i do in helping this thing move along. with spring semester finally starting i am about to start a really important class and spare time is going to be hard to come by. i'll be around to help sticky or delete or whatever and finish updating the draft, but with the draft pretty much up and running on its own right now i think its a good time to leave before the heavy lifting of free agency comes along.

u guys can decide where to go from here :)

sounds like dcash isn't able to run free agency. I'm willing to do it unless someone else would want to. I'm not planning on signing any free agents, so I wouldn't have any conflict of interests there either.
So would someone else prefer to run free agency? Or does anyone have a problem if I stepped in and ran it?
