Annoucement #2:

The Knicks and Indiana Pacers have a trade to announce.

The Knicks trade recently acquired Brad Miller (11.375 million) and Desmond Mason (5.3 million) to the Indiana Pacers for Jeff Foster (6.175 million), Marquis Daniels (6.86 million) and Luther Head (1.962 million).

I had a couple other offers on the table but I think this one was the best one available. It was out there in its most basic form for almost 2 weeks but because I was holding out for better offers and then got Bronchitus negotiations were a lot slower than they should have been. I am surprised at how small the market for Miller was. Only 3 teams really expressed enough interest to make offers. But this deal was the best of them all because the players I receive are better fits for my team.

trade approved. update rosters.

Bogut $6,294,307

Total = $9,272,307 x 1.25 + $100,000 = $11,690,383.75 > $10,852,940

With the aquisition of Bynum(and loss of Beasley), Bogut became expendable and with the lack of depth and scoring in the backcourt Gs and SFs became the target. We feel we covered both issues with this deal as well as getting some extra playmaking and leadership that Butler brings to the table.

Detroit accepts

Golden State and Charlotte have a trade.

To Charlotte:
Javaris Crittenton $1,381,560
Kyrylo Fesenko $810,000
Total $2,191,560

To Golden State:
Sean May $2,661,026
2010 Charlotte 2nd-round pick

(2,191,560) * 1.25 + .1 = 2,739,450 > 2,661,026

Golden State accepts. If May gets hurt again I’ll regret this – but if he doesn’t, he’s a heck of a player, and I’m badly in need of another big man, while I’m deep on the wing. It’s worth the risk.

Chicago and Miami have come to an agreement on a blockbuster trade.
Chicago will send Joe Johnson, Yao Ming, and Aaron Brooks to Miami for Dwayne Wade and Shawn Marion.

Out: 30,348,676 (*1.25=37,935,845)
In: 32,220,581 (*1.2540,275,727)

Chicago accepts. While our trio of players are integral to our team's success we feel than adding a player of Dwayne Wade's capabilities makes this too difficult to pass up. Shawn Marion also fills a need at PF and his shooting will spread the floor for Wade's penetration.

The Heat accept..

While we feel very disappointed and still in shock in even having discussions for Wade, this game is for fun right? And considering I've never really dealt my franchise player in these competitions and always went for the win, it was time for something new, a different direction. My attempt to acquire an all-star big man next to Wade was a failure, I tried for nearly every one, in fact EVERY one (Duncan/Garnett/Dirk/Bosh/Amare/Dwight/West/Boozer/Jefferson/Gasol) and learning it wouldn't be at all possible, any deal seemed unlikely.

This trade brings me at the worst, the 2nd best C in the league who's a top 5 big man overall and one of the best two way anchors in the league. One of the top three post players in the league and has been the consistent anchor of a top 3 defensive team in the league the past couple of seasons. Getting JJ who really broke out after the Boston series will be the one replacing Wade in the lineup, and though obviously a downgrade, he's clearly one of the top players at his position and what seems to be a perennial all-star, we also pick up not a bad prospect in Brooks. We love Wade and wish him the best in Chicago, but it wasn't as fun as I'd thought trying to use Marion as a trading chip considering more people have likely caught on about Marion's impact not being as great as his stats may be and the fact he could very well bolt in the off-season.

Again, I hated trading Wade, but Billups/JJ/Sheed/Yao was too enticing to pass up, I guess, lol.

Detroit and Orlando have come to an agreement...

Detroit cuts Madsen

Butler/Haslem/Young for Thad/Rudy/Harrington/George

DET - 9,249,980 + 6,575,000 + 1,602,960 = 17,427,940

ORL - 1,968,120 + 1,084,080 + 1,600,000 + 9,226,250 =
13,878,450 x 1.25 + 100,000 = 17,448,062.5 > 17,427,940

Detroit is happy to add even more youth to the rebuild effort. Thad and Rudy should fit in perfectly with the other starters and Al is a nice addition to the bench at both the 3 and 4 if need be. George is just money filler and may be axed.

Detroit accepts

Sorry, I forgot to update my roster page, but when I had accepted the deal, I had also waived Mike Wilks. I'm updating my roster now.

ok, missed that. trade approved. make sure you guys post any cuts along with the trade, i'm not actually reading the explanations. the explanations are required for your fellow gm's that might want to veto and need more insight into why u are completing a trade.

Orlando accepts this deal.

As Hard as it was to deal Fernandez, Young and Harrington, we decided that if we wanted to compete now, we had to acquire pieces that would help us to do so. Caron Butler is an excellent scorer who can play both the Guard and Forward position and will immediately help ease the burden off DH. Haslem will step in immediately at the PF position as he is the perfect compliment to DH.
