I'm taking defensive PG and all-around triple-double threat (with only 2 TO's per game!) Fat Lever.

Dammit, War. Still taking Lever, ruminating on that backup big, and reading the draft list more carefully.

Alright, Otis Thorpe it is. Two guys who can play and are often underrated.

Nate McMillain. Speaking of guys who are underrated but can play.

I'm gonna go for Ralph Sampson. Pretty damn impressive player; he and Hakeem could've torn up the league for years had his career not been cut short due to injury.
There is no consolation prize. Winning is everything.

MARK JACKSON!!! As pure a point as you'll find, I'm not sure which season I will take but he is a 3 era guy who will excel in a backup role to Dennis Johnson.

I'll take...

Rod Strickland

After taking 3 defensive players with my 1st three picks, I take a floor general here who can help my offense run. Rod is a hard-nosed guy outta the Bronx who will provide playmaking for my team. In the next era, he is 17/11/5/2, which is great for our PG, and that is the era we are building for.

I select 6th man big extraordinaire Roy Tarpley.

Epic production as both a power forward and a center. Injuries and off the court issues shortened his promising career, but he still had one year where he produced on both ends of the floor, both inside and outside, and we know he'll play the bench willingly. Too much talent to pass up at this pick.

No clue where to go with this one. I suppose I'll once again go with the talent.

Terry Cummings. 17-18 PPG/8-9 RPG next era. Over the course of the next era, Spurs were 90-47 w/him, opposed to 12-17 without him. Good post defender, versatile offensive game, and has always been apart of fantastic defensive teams throughout his career.

Don't know if Miller is still here, since I took roughly 30-40 mins on my pick, but he can elaborate more on the selection later if he so chooses to do so:

Miller4ever selects Rodney McCray

Rodney McCray is yet another one of those guys that is underrated and unknown despite a strong showing in the 80's. 2 all-D selections, and he shot 58% against the Celtics in the '86 finals. Also a great rebounder for his position, grabbing 7 a game even with Hakeem and Sampson in the frontcourt.
