Does the Rashard Lewis provision have to be used at the beginning of the game, or can we hold on to it and possibly use it for a player acquired in a trade?

When do I have to make my decision on player releases by?

In terms of my goal... just want to extend the window. Everyone but Dirk is available in the right deal.

I have thought about this some more, and here is my final decision.
The Larry Bird Provision will be in effect for teams over the hard cap, this will be a part of the Grandfather system, however all trade restrictions still apply and teams will only have the ability to sign free agents from other teams for the minimum.

Teams have to be able to sign FAs for the same amount or it will give the team holding the FA a HUGE advantage well beyond the extra year and 2.5% raise difference.

I guess I didn't explain this well:

If a team is over the HARD CAP, they still have the opportunity to use their bird rights to sign their own free agent to an amount that they feel is appropriate (even if it is the max). If they need to add other players, however, they will not have the MLE, only the ability to sign a player for the minimum. Teams under the hard cap, but over the regular cap will have the MLE, and teams under the regular cap will have cap space.

I hope that addresses your concern.

I would think you have to use it now. Otherwise it could get messy because then you could trade for bad contract/good player, it just seems right that you have to use it now

My intent was to have it like the last Amnesty clause that had to be used immediately, sorry for not specifying.

This Game is about trading within the new Collective Bargaining Agreement. YOU HAVE TO POST YOUR TEAM SALARIES so others know what kind of trades can be proposed. No need to update every time, but at the outset and every few days an update should be done.

Looking to S&T Arron Aflalo, so if you're interested contact me. I'm thinking about re-signing Nene, so if you're interested contact me and maybe we can work out a S&T.

Moving everyone except Dwight now. Send me your offers.
Looking at everything possible: picks, starters, back-ups, veterans, youth and stuff. All i don't want to get are bad contracts.

The Cavs are looking to add young players and draft picks to build a core for the future. Right now, Kyrie Irving is a big piece of that core moving forward. I wouldn't call him untouchable, though, as there is a right price for everything.

I have some win-now pieces in Baron Davis, Anderson Varejao and Antawn Jamison. I also have younger players who are available in Ramon Sessions and Tristan Thompson. No offer is a bad offer, so contact me!

I have a question. If we wanyted to S&T someone like Marcus Thornton or whoever has a QO for that matter, do we use that contract, or can we come up with one. I'm not to sure. Thanks in Advance.

Btw, looking for a SF upgrade. get at me

For S+T's it will be with the player's new contract. If you have agreed to a sign and trade with a team you will have to specify that in free agency offers. I will have a detailed post once I've got more with free agency ironed out (probably Friday).

OKL Here. AIM SomaseekerJB

Been getting lots of inquiries on Harden but the right deal has not come in.

Would like a low post scorer to go with Ibaka and Durant. Who wont be traded.
Westbrook can be had for a similar star player.
Perkins, Thabo, Collison can be had. Nate Robinson and Nazr Muhammed Exp as well.

How will the No Trade Clause work. If the Mavericks or the Lakers trade Kobe or Dirk, how will the trade be effected by the No Trade Clause?

The Pacers are mainly looking for help at power forward. Not really interested in moving Granger for anything less than a comparable player.
