Yes you can.

You can do a 30 team deal as long as it works with the CBA.

am I current in understanding that the cost to buy out a player(as opposed to waiving him) is his entire contract plus $300k?

So for example I could BO Gal Mekel for ~2.6M(the $2.3M on his contract+300k)? And instead of carrying his contract into future years as dead $$$ if I waive him, I clear it completely off the cap?

Again sorry about all the questions, but I'm enjoying this game and want to make sure I understand such things.

How is the draft lottery done? Like how are the top 14 chances determined?

There's a ranking of all the teams, of the bottom 14, we run it through the mock lottery here

His entire deal + 500,000 not 300,000

I was wondering what day was the "opening" day for these games? Was it when you released the roster list?

How is draft order decided?

Have a pick going away thats top 12 protected and i'm just wondering because if it's real life standings i'd lose the pick but i'm bad enough in the game where I think I could keep it...

We usually vote on rankings to see playoff seedings (draft seedings)

Commish would have to confirm it, but I assume it'd be what the line is in the NBA right now

is it legal for someone to trade me the contract of a player they no longer have? Im working on a deal with a GM in which the GM wants to trade me the dead money due a player who was waived by that team prior to the start of this game(in the real life offseason) as a part of matching salaries. I am okay with taking on this money to accomodate the deal but I want to make sure its legal in this game so our deal doesnt get kicked back.

I would think that's illegal. Can't you only trade players, not dead contracts?
