Mock Off-Season: Free Agency Final Day

Post#42 » by aramada » Wed Jun 14, 2017 11:04 pm

In addition to our offer to Felicio (3Y/12MM), we would like to make the following offers:
- Gerald Green - 1 year at the vet min
- Mike Scott - 1 year at the vet min

EDIT: if Trevor Booker is waived, we rescind the offer to Mike Scott and offer Booker a 1-year vet min after he clears waivers

We have minutes to spare on the wings and front court

We would also like to reiterate that Grant and Payne are available for a trade

The Kings would like to talk to Shabazz Muhammad.

We are absolutely floored that you have not been offered a contract (that we know of). We would like to offer you a 1+1PO deal at $1,290,363 the first year. (Not sure if I can offer the full Room exception, but if I can, I will. I'm currently $1,290,363 under the cap without my rookies). We believe you can revive your value in Sacramento and we have minutes to give you. You will have a great coaching staff to work with and a very competitive environment that will hopefully push you to get better than you want to be. We have a lot of hope for you and would love to have you on the team.

If accepted, we will waive Trevor Booker.

Edit: We potentially see you [Shabazz] as a piece of our future. We just don't have the funds this season to pay you what we think you are worth, but we want to help you look great this season so you have an opportunity at a big payday next season.

The Clippers would like to talk to SF Reggie Bullock about being part of the roster. We like our chances to acquire you for spot minutes between the SG and SF positions to deepen our depth.

1 year vet miminum.

SHABAZZ MUHAMMAD IS A KING!
What a great value! (Sorry, I'm really excited and kinda buzzed)

This mock offseason was a blast, guys. Thank you, sportscrazy, for organizing it all. It was amazing. I would buy you a beer if I could.

The Cavaliers are wondering how the hell Redick chose the same offer from the Pistons over the Cavs.... I guess he REALLY likes Detroit? :D

Hey Ayatollah,

Any interest in Trevor Booker? We can send him to you for a Top-55 Protected 2nd.

It seems you want to trade with the Heat, that's Bully's team.

My bad. I missed that. I was on a break going back into work when I typed that. Apparently, I wasn't paying attention.

Anyway, I can't make the trade anymore. Thanks for letting me know.

Not to gloat, but ... :D

The Cavs offer was not the same offer. The Cavs offered him the chance to be a free agent after two years; the Pelicans and Pistons offered him a PO after one year.

As to why he chose our offer over NOLA's, all I can assume is that, for the same money, he wanted to play for SVG again.

Whatever his motivation, I'm sorry, but we're happy to have him! :D

Still open to trade for DJ if you'd like to revisit

After thinking it over for a while, I decided to keep DJ. Since BG has resigned with the team, I figured just retool around the team and see what happens from here. Hope for the best.

Thx for the interest and best of luck from here.
