the issue is, it can often be something where you initially plan to do something, but moves come along with change your direction.

I wanted to completely start from scratch with the knicks but then got offers which put me into the more win now mode.

Sure, but then you should write down exactly that. "The offer was too good to pass up", "Change of strategy", etc..

This was my off season version of ATL from May 22nd 2017.

I recall, that I truly wanted a full rebuild. I even had a deal in place to move Dwight for Tristan Thompson but Dan (Cavs) randomly disappeared before the trade was approved, therefore I decided to just resign Millsap & retool with Coach Bud. Kept ATL competitive while adding young players around Millspap/Howard.

Retooled:
Traded for “second chance” young players Mudiay & Hezonja, hoping they would blossom at “Hawks University”. Replaced Bazemore with Waiters who’s younger & cheaper. Signed Ellington, Muscala, & Galloway to discount 2-year deals. Drafted Tyler Lydon & Ivan Rabb. Kept all future ATL picks, in case a rebuild package was ever offered for Howard or Millsap.

I think I have the time to play and run free agency with help.

We really need a mod to help run the game.
