I think he realised Lakers Jones wasn't eligible, and just assumed the pairing couldn't work without noticing there was another option.

My suspicion is that LR for a second time messed up the time restriction and thought he was taking Lakers EJ, then changed it to VC/EJ after realizing.

Mitchell with Miami EJ is also a very good pick. I think we need DB to make a ruling here.
