Mine looks weak compared right now, imo, but I think its a really good team.

I keepntelling myself its offoeak years for some of the players though to try and make myself feel better lol.


And I can make a big pick this next round as I have preserved the fga...so maybe that helps me.

I must admit I was pleasantly surprised to see Bridges make it past flaco on the turn.

We currently have eight guys. That can be workable with a 90s to now timeframe (or even 00s to now). Though I'd like to get 10 and keep it 80s, having 80s MJ and Hakeem, 90s Shaq, etc. is kinda part of the concept. If we're stuck at signups, I'll change the timeframe.

Needed one of OG, Battier, or Bridges. Had to take a risk as any one was a reach in round 3 in this pool.

There are other solid options available in the same mold, I think you would have been fine either way. I have two more that are comfortably in the same mold and then an additional few who are worse to some extent but are the same archetype.

Almost picked him, but changed my mind. I can only afford his Phoenix seasons. Felt like I didn't need a glue guy cause KG and Kawhi fit with everybody. The idea is to aim for a 5th creator instead of a glue guy. Problem is, I got literally only one target in mind. If I strike out, I'll probably regret not taking Bridges.

I agree that you don’t need him. That’s what investing early in Kawhi/KG earns you.

That makes sense. I had the FGAs to spare and I specifically wanted his 2022-23 season.

At the end of the day I think power forward needs to be AD’s primary position. I love the idea of a small-ish pace and space offense with AD at the 5 but I don’t want to have him as the primary Shaq defender.

Successful AD teams have paired AD with large bigs. It allows him to use his defensive mobility too.

He works at the 5 against most Cs across the league, but not against the ATG Cs we usually have in our games. He'd still be serviceable in that role but not his ideal use. There are a good amount of guys that I'd put in a similar category - elite defenders who are primarily PF, could be C against most guys but ideally not ATGs (AD, KG, Sheed, etc. And to a lesser extent guys like Rodman and Draymond, etc. The "death" lineups of the Warriors with Draymond at the 5 were typically their best lineups but couldn't be used without discretion).

All that's to say - I agree with you, best to pair him with a true 5.

Wondering whether a certain all-time great Center will be left on the board. Not the biggest fan of his game, but he's widely considered a top 10 Center of all time, to say the least.

In a present-day game, he's definitely a 5. Bulked up, not as mobile, and his shooting isn't remotely good enough as a 4. The 2010s version could definitely run into some problematic matchups at the 5.
