just to let you guys know the contracts for Bynum and Granger are done wrong.

it should be this
15,475,000
15,475,000 x 1.08 = 16,713,000
15,475,000 x 1.16 = 17,951,000
15,475,000 x 1.24 = 19,189,000
15,475,000 x 1.32 = 20,427,000

its actually based on first year for all years increases not the previous year.

we had this problem last time as well when people were doing up salaries.

also

from the CBA:

Here's a summary of the differences between an option and an ETO:

* Options can occur only when one season remains on the contract, while ETOs can occur when two seasons remain if the contract is for six seasons.
* Options can be included in any multiyear contract, but ETOs are allowed only with five or six year contracts.
* Options can be held by the player or the team, but ETOs are always held by the player (i.e., there's no such thing as a team Early Termination Option).
* Option years may not have a lower salary than the previous season. ETOs have no such restriction.
* A contract with a player option can be extended when the option is not exercised. A contract with an ETO may not be extended if the ETO is exercised.

so the Player Options could only be in the 4th year of the contracts.

thanks and I should have remembered that about the salaries; I'll fix it in any future signings.

I was told Danny Granger would either sign with me, or sign an offer sheet with another team today. I just want to make sure I'm not out of the loop again, what happened?

If you look at skorf's post (it's quoted in other posts), it clearly states that you can match it. So if he does decide to sign with another team, all you have to do is email skorf.

Minnesota Timberwolves have signed undrafted rookie Wesley Matthews
1st year - 457,588 guaranteed
2nd year - 736,420 unguaranteed
3rd year - 825,497 unguaranteed
-Wesley is happy to get the opportunity to play in the NBA

The Atlanta Haws have signed undrafted rookie Marcus Thorton
1st year - 457,588 guaranteed
2nd year - 736,420 unguaranteed
3rd year - 825,497 unguaranteed
- Marcus is also happy to get an opportunity to play in the NBA

The Detroit Pistons have announced that they have resigned Andrew Bynum
1st year - 14mil
2nd year - 15.4 mil
3rd year - 16.8 mil
4th year - 18.2 mil
5th year - 19.6 mil ETO
6th year - 21.2 mil
-Andrew has decided to go with the Detroit Pistons offer and is very happy to be back. He knew that whatever he decided the Pistons were going to keep him around, but he felt that there offer was slightly better because of the 6th year that was offered. Andrew realizes that he has had a few injuries and that extra year could be really beneficial to him down the line.

The Sacramento Kings have extended an offer sheet to Danny Granger.
1st year - 15,475,000
2nd year - 16,713,000
3rd year - 17,957,000
4th year - 19,189,000
5th year - 20,427,000 (Player Option)
-Danny Granger loves Indiana and hopes that they will match the offer sheet. If they don't however, he is excited what a young team like Sacramento could do. Danny seriously considered Oklahoma City and Indiana's offers as well, but he felt that he was a better fit in Sacramento than in Oklahoma City; and even though he loves Indiana, Sacramento's offer was over 10M dollars better; it was a hard choice not to pick Indiana's offer, but he felt that the extra money was worth it especially since he hopes Indiana will choose to keep him.

The Memphis Grizzlies have signed Ronnie Price
1st year - 2,500,000
2nd year - 2,500,000
-Ronnie really liked the offer from Memphis. He likes the young talent on Memphis team and thinks he will fit in very well.

New York has signed undrafted free agent Sam Young

A few more offers are still coming in; more free agents will begin to sign beginning tomorrow night even if those offers aren't in. I have sent out some e-mails today if you're offer isn't good enough for a free agent. Tomorrow night around 9:00 est free agents will start to be signed even if a teams offer isn't in.

Phoenix has resigned Carlos Boozer
1st year - 15,475,000
2nd year - 16,248,750
3rd year - 16,898,700
4th year - 17,405,661
5th year - 17,753,774
6th year - 18,108,849 (player option)
-Carlos chose this offer since first off Phoenix offered 6 years which was a big plus. Another reason is that he loves the makeup of the team, and he really enjoyed playing part of last year in Phoenix. He felt that Phoenix is ready to compete for a championship right now and most of the teams that offered competitive offers were a few years away from being title contenders.

Phoenix has resigned Chris Anderson
1st year - 2,500,000
2nd year - 2,750,000
3rd year - 2,970,000
4th year - 3,148,200 (player option)
-Chris likes the long term contract and is happy to make Phoenix is home for the next few years.

Phoenix has resigned Grant Hill
1st year - 2,500,000
2nd year - 2,750,000 (player option)
-Grant feels like he has something left in the tank; he loves to play in Phoenix so that's where he decided to go.

New York has signed undrafted free agent Luke Nevill to an unguaranteed league minimum level contract for rookies

Memphis has signed restricted free agent Leon Powe to an offer sheet, Boston can match it
1st year - 4,500,000
2nd year - 4,500,000
3rd year - 4,500,000 (player option)
-Powe thought he would get more interest than he did, but he really likes Memphis's offer and Memphis's young team. Powe says he is very happy either he stays with one of the best teams in the league, or he joins an up and coming team that will be good a few years.

Orlando has resigned free agent Andre Miller
1st year - 11,000,000
2nd year - 11,000,000
3rd year - 11,000,000
4th year - 11,000,000
5th year - 11,000,000 (team option)
-Andre is happy to stay in Orlando and get to play with arguably the best player in the NBA in Howard as he enters his prime. He feels that they are good enough to compete for a championship and he wants to be a part of it.

I just wanted to let anyone who may not have read in the discussion thread that offers for Johan Petro will not be matched no matter how cheap your offer is.

Year 3: $11,000,000
Year 4: $11,000,000
Year 5: $11,000,000
-David feels that OKC has a nice young team and that he would be a good fit there. He would prefer to head back to Atlanta but if he ends up in OKC than he is happy as well. Atlanta can match the offer.

Drew Gooden has signed a contract for the full MLE with the Denver Nuggets
Year 1: 5,819,000
Year 2: 6,284,520
Year 3: 6,750,040

(Denver has used their MLE)
-Drew is excited to get a longer term deal on a quality team like Denver.
