I also believe we should use the 5 big stars in the game.

We can always do a game with them later, but i'm interested to see what happens in this iteration. In the past it's been an issue where if we get judges who aren't as knowledgeable as a lot of us you begin to see a lot of "Lebron in 7, Kobe in 7" etc, etc.

I could go either way on the big stars.

I think if you are going to select knowledgeable judges to look at these teams include all players with an ABBA format.

If you are going to have it open to the public, including people who would vote for a team that has Lebron regardless of overall merit, then leave them out.

I'd prefer the former, but then, I've never done one of these so I'm not exactly the best authority on the subject. If dcash wants that to be the twist I guess its fine. Just don't change the draft order if thats the case.

I thin kwe should leave it as a snake either way. It's pretty unfair to the later picks if it isn't.

I think that ABABA would be unfair to the first picks if the true superstars are excluded. Then you end up with what, a very good player, say Dirk, with pretty crappy support. The ABBA format adjusts for the superstar factor so if the superstars are taken out then the simple ABABA would be better imo.

Where this is concerned, it's up to Cash to limit the participants. He may give priority over low post counts or whatever. With the draft, I'll be in the game either way, I just think limiting those superstars would make it interesting.

regarding superstars: i don't want them in, it really sucked for people who gave genuine thought to team building to lose to someone who just happened to get lebron/kobe.

regarding participants: i created a list of the 16 posters who are in. HOWEVER, two spots are reserved for either Vintage, Shaqsux, or bryant08 for another 4 hrs. I listed the two posters who would lose their spots, sorry.

regarding voting: we'll vote for each other, no need for outside judges. since its bracket style, we'll vote for all the matchups that don't involve us.

regarding draft: going 1 to 16 followed by 16 to 1 was my preference.

With the 16 spots now done could you run the lotto so we can see where we pick and start start to think about what we want to do with our teams? We could start the draft whenever, but knowing where we pick is probably what we all want to know.

im holding two spots for either Vintage, Shaqsux, or bryant08. they have til 9 pm pacific. i'll get the slots up in a new thread in about 2 hrs so you can start looking at what players you'll get and so we can have any more input on the rules.
