#164 Minnesota and Portland

Minnesota sends: Reggie Evans($854,389) $854,389 X 1.5 = $1,281,583 + $100,000 = $1,381,583

Portland sends: Elliot Williams($1,348,800)

Minnesota will also send $2m in cash.

Meh, why not. Elliot has some undiscovered game wasting on RL Portland's bench IMO. Athletic guard with decent handles.

The Lakers and 'Cats have a two part deal to announce.

Trade #165: Los Angeles Lakers-Charlotte Bobcats

Part One
Los Angeles Lakers Receive:
C Ben Wallace ($2,246,400)

Charlotte Bobcats Receive:
Traded Player Exception ($2,246,400) - Livingston Trade

Part Two

Los Angeles Lakers Receive:
Future Considerations

Charlotte Bobcats Receive:
SF Vladimir Radmanovic

Lakers accept.

More big man depth and we deal someone who we never ever want to see in a Lakers uniform again. No more Space Cadet.

On a side note, the Lakers waive the right to the $800,000 TPE left from the Lamar Odom trade.

#166 Minnesota and Milwaukee:

Minnesota sends: Earl Watson($2,000,000) + Travis Leslie($500,000) = $2,500,000 X 1.5 = $3,750,000

Milwaukee sends: Mike Dunleavy($3,750,000)

Minnesota accepts. Get a decent backup SF who can shoot the 3, doing 10/3/2 on 45/36 for the year.

Think you got the parts mixed up, but yeah.

Big Ben needs to be on a contender, plus I have[had] too many Centers.

Denver sends: Arron Afflalo($7,750,000) = $7,750,000

Minnesota accepts. Afflalo is more of a starter at this point, and Shump was pretty buried on our depthchart at the moment. Afflalo is a great role player that plays nice defense on 3 spots, hits the 3, and can even create his own shot at a decent rate.

Nuggets accept. We save both longterm and shortterm salary, and pick up a great young prospect in Shumpert.

Prior to making this deal, the Nuggets waive veteran Brad Miller. We will continue to pay him his 11/12 salary, as well as the $848,000 he is guaranteed next year.

Clips waive Damien Wilkins
we will sign Brad Miller and send him to Europe to get the Kobe Treatment

Brook Lopez ($3,076,983)
Klay Thompson ($2,126,520)
Alec Burks ($2,126,520)
Shawn Marion ($8,022,449)

Pistons Receive
Chris Paul ($16,359,805)
Jason Kapono ($854,389)
Hamed Haddadi ($1,300,000)
Jon Brockman ($1,000,000)

Total: $19,514,194

Deal Works.

I really don't know, wish this came another night...but we had depth to consolidate, right? Right? Will probably regret this in the morning, prob busiest night for me, and I make the biggest trade for my team. It's for fun, right?? Sigh...

Tired of having only two assets, we split Paul into a young team basically. Happy to do it.

Nene $13,000,000
Ed Davis $2,063,040

MIA outgoing:

Bosh as a 1st option is 24/11 (last yr in TOR), he is now 18/8. Good defense, fairly young (27) and a piece worth having.

Mia waives Thompson before the deal (UNG contract)

Bosh is two years younger and better, but Nene is on the better contract + the real deal is that we get Davis. A contending team like MIA needs a potential 10/10 guy who can develop slowly since we will not have high picks. Davis is perfect. It also saves us the 2 mil next offseason we need to keep Scola. So basically it's Nene + Davis + Scola for Bosh which is nice. I'll let the coach decide if he starts with Nene/Chandler or Scola/Chandler. The guys will be happy that they are in MIA and do not have to play 37+ minutes.

Channing Frye ($5,600,000)
Luke Babbitt ($1,768,800)

#170 Charlotte and Memphis

Charlotte sends:
Randy Foye - $4,250,000

Memphis sends:
Kwame Brown - $6,750,000
$1M Cash

After the Wallace to LAL deal, we have the cap room to make this work.

Kwame should be making twice as much as he is.

Denver will waive Andres Nocioni, who has a TO for 2012/13.

Denver claims Damien Wilkins for the minimum.

The Pistons and Nuggets have agreed upon a deal.

Nuggets Receive
Chris Singleton ($1,485,000)
Matt Carroll ($3,900,000)
HOU 2012 2nd (top 40 protected)

Total: $5,385,000

Pistons Receive
Jordan Hamilton ($1,073,280)
Kosta Koufos ($2,203,792)
Damien Wilkins ($854,389)

Total: $4,131,461

Deal Works.

Pistons accept, we're impressed w/ what Koufos has done on the floor for the Nuggets this year -- and only 22 years old.

Nuggets accept. We feel that this is great value for Singleton. We hate losing a young post prospect, but it had to be done.

Memphis accepts, we like Kwame but we just have way too many Centers right now, well now we have too many PGs but it's easier to work with too many PGs than it is Cs, we also like what Foye has done on the court this year, he's been a great role player who knows his part, lets not forget the fact that he'll be a great mentor for Will Bynum and Mike Conley. This trade is expiring for expiring so it'll work for my team
