The nuggets and bobcats have a decent sized deal to announce

Nuggets Trade
Antonio Daniels $6,200,000
Malik Rose $7,647,500
09 1st via Golden State
10 1st via Denver
Total: 13.8 million
for
Jason Richardson $12,222,222
Mardy Collins $1,034,760
Total: 13.3 million x 1.25= 16.63 milion>13.3 million
Trade Works

Why: As a team looking to win now, the Nuggets needed another game changer. Jason Richardson is a great shooter, quick and still in his prime. Now we have a team ready to win now with several pieces for the future as well. Daniels and Rose were backups at best with oversized contracts. The two firsts are hard to give up, but it's for an all-star

Charlotte accepts.

We hate to see Jason Richardson leave, but we felt that it was in the best interest of our organization. Last year the core of JRich, Wallace, Okafor didn't make the playoffs, so we have decided to go a different route. By getting Malik Rose's expiring contract, we will now become big players in the 09 free agent market. Also, we are excited about the first round picks that were acquired since in the western conference there is a very good chance that they will be lottery picks.

The Nuggets are shopping around today and have come to a deal with the Pacers.

Nuggets Trade
Jared Jeffries $6,049,400
2010 2nd round pick via Denver (rights to swap with LAC)
for
Jamaal Tinsley $6,750,000

$6,049,400 x 1.25=$7,561,250
Trade works

Denver was very nervous about Tinsley, but having him be the backup to andre miller should be fine. Jared Jeffries had no place in Denver and is a much much worse player. In the end, we'll take the talent over the attitude on this one.

Pacers accept. Tinsley is the better player, but he's worn out his welcome here. We needed a backup SF and Jefferies has a lot of fans in Indiana.

veto request on jrich trade is denied. bobcats get 6-7 mil more capspace with the trade, save about 20 mil over the duration of jrich's contract and they get two first round picks, including an 09 GS pick that is just top 3 protected.

trade approved.

It is good this trade has been approved as I doubt the 2nd trade would have been made otherwise as the need for a PG would not be the same if he kept Daniels. Would have sucked for Denver if that happened.

The Dallas Mavericks and Charlotte Bobcats have agreed to a trade:

Dallas sends/Charlotte receives:

Renaldo Balkman- $1,542,600
Eddie Jones- $1,976,400

Total: $3,519,000

Charlotte sends/Dallas receives:

Adam Morrison: 4,159,200

Math works: 3,519,000 x 1.25= $4,398,750 > $4,159,200

Dallas accepts this deal.

We are happy to take a risk on a talented but injury ridden scorer. This deal looks to be a low risk/high reward deal for us IF he can maintain his health. He also fills a void needed at the SF/SG positions.

Charlotte waives Ryan Hollins

Charlotte accepts

We have lost faith in Morrison and wanted to go a new route so we brought in Balkman.

Busy day at the office for Dallas.

The Dallas Mavericks and Pheonix Suns have agreed to a trade:

Dallas sends/Pheonix receives:

Drew Gooden- $7,151,183
CHI 2009 1st
Total: $7,151,183

Pheonix sends/Dallas receives

Martell Webster- $3,771,133
Brian Cook- $3,500,000
Total: $7,271,133

As you can see the math works.

Dallas accepts this deal. We are sending some useful pieces but finally acquire a young SF to grow with this team. Webster should be at a point in his career to take the next step forward, we are happy it will be with Dallas. Brian Cook is used for salary purposes, but can provide backup in the frontcourt.

Roster requirements should be fine with Dallas pending prior trade

Phoenix accepts this deal. This trade eliminates the clog in my G/F rotation and giving way for more playing time for Hill, Barnes and Green. Gooden will bolster our frontcourt.

Phoenix and Cleveland have come to an agreement on a trade

Shaquille O'Neal $21,000,000
Raja Bell $5,000,000
$26,000,000
for

Zach Randolph $14,666,667
Jason Terry $9,196,000
2010 2nd Round Pick
2011 1st Round Pick
2012 1st Round Pick
$23,862,667 x 1.25 + $100,000 = $29,928,333

putting Shaq next to Jermaine gives me better defense as well as having Bell start and much more flexibility in 2010 removing JET's and Zbo's contracts.

You need to put your reason for accepting man.

Phoenix accepts as part of our rebuilding plan. GM believes PHX is getting better talents in the deal. We would like to thank Shaq as he has been a good mentor for Amare since the day one the former arrived here in PHX. Bell's defensive toughness will be missed but we welcome Terry's talent and leadership.
