ATL accepts. Jrue can be a long term starter and allows me to draft a guy like Rivers, Beal or Lamb because he takes care of perimeter D. Klay is a nice shooter with good potential, and I save a ton of money, both now and because I wont have to pay Augustin.

Trade 173

NEW YORK - NEW JERSEY TRADE PGs

The New York Knicks send PG Rajon Rondo & PF/C Epke Udoh (10,045,455 + 3,294,260 = 13,339,715); to
New Jersey Nets for Deron Williams and Josh Harrelson (16,359,860 + $473,260 = 16,824,120 - within the 125% rule so the trade works under the CBA)

New Jersey felt Rondo was a perfect fit with the younger - uptempo - defensive team they are trying to build and worried about Deron's opt out having failed to bring in the Big Name stars - Just solid - future allstars that can grow together. Great dealing with you SamBone.
(Too easy - I must have left a bunch on the table.)

PHI and MIA have a trade to announce.

PHI outgoing:
Nene $13,000,000
Ed Davis $2,063,040
total: $15,063,040

MIA outgoing:
Chris Bosh $16,022,500

Bosh as a 1st option is 24/11 (last yr in TOR), he is now 18/8. Good defense, fairly young (27) and a piece worth having.

Mia waives Thompson before the deal (UNG contract)

Bosh is two years younger and better, but Nene is on the better contract + the real deal is that we get Davis. A contending team like MIA needs a potential 10/10 guy who can develop slowly since we will not have high picks. Davis is perfect. It also saves us the 2 mil next offseason we need to keep Scola. So basically it's Nene + Davis + Scola for Bosh which is nice. I'll let the coach decide if he starts with Nene/Chandler or Scola/Chandler. The guys will be happy that they are in MIA and do not have to play 37+ minutes.

just a heads up. Thompson is not UNG, he was waived pregame in real life and signed to a guaranteed rookie contract after the game started. he is a cap hit for this seasomn. I know you waived others so if you want to not take the hit, you can keep him on roster, or simply take the cap hit and free up the spot. but he is guaranteed

NOH Incoming
Ronny Turiaf $4,365,000
Cole Aldrich $2,286,000
Shelden Williams $992,680

Total: $7,643,680

NJ Incoming
Emeka Okafor $12,642,500
Greg Stiemsma $762,195
MIN 2012 2nd

Total: $13,404,695

NJ has cap space to take on remaining salary. A $5,761,015 TPE is created for NOH.

Accept. We could have just amnenstied Okafor, but we like this a bit better. We get a TPE that carries over into the off-season. Also getting a prospect C is never bad. Maybe Aldrich still has some potential. We think this improves our draft position too, which could be key.

New Jersey accepts. We had an opportunity to get one of the premier Defensive Centers in the Association for players who were not going to be part of our regular rotation. Okafor will solidify our march to the playoffs and we avoid the big paydays of a Dwight or B Lopez in Free Agency. Great dealing with you Crispy. Nice Win Win deal.

Deal Accepted. We consider Bosh to be a more rounded player now though Blakes upside may surpass him but adding Lopez was too hard to pass up.

PHI and NJN have a trade to announce.

PHI outgoing:
Channing Frye $5,600,000
D.J. Augustin $3,236,470
Nicolas Batum $2,155,365
Ian Mahinmi $915,852
2012 GS 1st (top 7 protected/if not then all obligations are extinguished)
2012 UTA 2nd
total: $11,907,687

NJN outgoing:
James Harden $4,604,760
Epke Udoh $3,294,960
Toney Douglas $1,145,640
Greg Stiemsma $762,195
total: $9,807,555

We save some money, and add a core piece in Harden. Been after him for a while now, his pick and roll skills for a SG are tremendous, he is a great shooter and will thrive with a big like Monroe.

#180: ATL and PHI have agreed to a trade:

To Atlanta:
Ekpe Udoh ($3,294,960)

To Philadelphia:
TPE (from trade #4, worth a total of $4,502,847)
2M cash
2012 2nd

Deal works, as the TPE is worth more than the salary.

ATL accepts. I've been trying to buy prospects for a while, and I finally got one I REALLY like. I've always been a huge fan of Udoh, and I really like his post game improvement. To talk stats a bit, he is 4.5/3.7 with 1.7 blocks on the year in 20 MPG, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. This kid affects the defense a ton in Golden State, when he's in the game they have a team DRTG of 100.6, and when he's out, they have a team DRTG of 112.8, a 12.2 difference in DRTG just when he steps on the floor. Also, when get gets at least 30 MPG, he's 9/6 on 50 FG% and 1.7 blocks. I just can't say enough about this kid, and to get him at a good price is a bonus.
