We feel that when Childress gets back, he won't have anywhere in the rotation to be. We also consolidate some of our 2nds.

The Bulls send Leandro Barbosa ($6,600,000), and the rights to Victor Claver in exchange for Mike Bibby ($6,217,617), and Randolph Morris ($855,189).

TOTAL OUTGOING: $6,600,000
TOTAL INCOMING: $7,072,806

Deal Obviously Works!

The Magic send Brandon Rush (1,934,160), and Brad Miller (12,250,000) in exchange for Joe Smith ($825,497), rights to Victor Claver, Leandro Barbosa ($6,600,000), and Marvin Williams ($7,500,000).

The Hawks send Marvin Williams (3,7500,00 - BYC), Mike Bibby ($6,217,617), Joe Smith ($825,497), and Randolph Morris ($855,189) in exchange for Brad Miller (12,250,000), and Brandon Rush (1,934,160).

TOTAL OUTGOING: $11,648,303 X 1.25 = $14,660,378
TOTAL INCOMING: $14,184,160 << $14,660,378

Deal Obviously Works!

The Bulls accept, we're sad to lose Barbosa, but in Bibby, we feel we get a better fit, one whom is more a natural PG, and a very good shooter from distance. We also shave roughly 1-2M of payroll for next season, as Bibby's contract reduces, giving us more flexibility to make moves in the future. Claver's potential will be missed, but he was never apart of our future plans with his caphold.

Didn't know about Marvin's BYC status, but okay. Bibby is now the 2nd PG where he doesn't deserve to be, so we're doing him a favor. Rush bolsters our swingman rotation and Brad Miller gives us a veteran presence inside.

Why for Houston?
We REALLY wanted a legit center next to Boozer. Giving up Battier's leadership and all the small things he does on a good team really kills me, but we have Prince who is VERY similar and younger. Chandler is almost a perfect defensive fit next to Boozer. The picks mean nothing to me as they never have and never will. Rodrigue Beaubois will fill in as our primary back up 1/2 guard as he is young and fits what we are trying to do......Parker / JR Smith / Prince / Boozer / Chandler......gives me a very solid five with good D and good O....with great team ball. Good dealing with you Dallas and about time you answered! :D

Dallas agrees. Will discuss rationale later.

Charlotte accepts. I'm not going to be a big player in 2010 and this deal increases my depth while adding some young players. Chuckfino is only guaranteed for $500K next season anyways and he's actually been very productive as of late.

83. Can a team trade the rights to a free agent, so the other team will inherit his Larry Bird rights?

Once a player becomes a free agent, he cannot be traded, except in a sign-and-trade deal.

Phoenix Suns would like to re-sign Joey Graham to his minimum contract of $848,444 after he was earlier released to make room for trades.

The Orlando Magic and New Jersey nets have agreed to the following:

New Jersey sends:

Josh Boone -2,056,968
Rudy Fernandez- 1,165,320
2011 2nd round pick
Total: 3,222,288 x 1.25 = 4,027,860

Orlando will send

Matt Bonner - 3,256,500
Luc Richard Mbah a moute - 736,420
Rights to Victor Claver
2011 1st Round Pick
2012 1st Round Pick - Top 10 Protection

Total: 3,992,920

We over pay quite a bit to fulfill a position of need. With Marvin as our SF of the future, we needed to find a compliment to Paul in our backcourt. Magic accept

You cannot trade consecutive 1st round picks as per the Ted Stepien Rule - see http://members.cox.net/lmcoon/salarycap.htm#Q73, unless you hold another teams 1st for one of those years (which I'm not sure you do...)

We waive that rule for the game.

-This is just another reason why we needed a rules thread before we jumped the gun.

^ yes we have not used that rule in any of these games as people will always trade them and sometimes it gets missed. Very hard to keep track of draft picks.

OKC Gets:
CJ Miles$3,700,000
2011 Utah 2nd

Utah Gets:
David Andersen$2,314,815
Javaris Crittenton$1,477,920
Total=$3,792,375
So salary works

Do it to get some scoring off the benchvia Cj Miles who can also help spread the floor for the bigs.

In that case, Phoenix would like to add Arroyo to the roster for the minimum, to become backup point guard until further moves can be made.
