We also shave roughly 1-2M of payroll for next season, as Bibby's contract reduces, giving us more flexibility to make moves in the future. Claver's potential will be missed, but he was never apart of our future plans with his caphold.

Why for Houston?
We REALLY wanted a legit center next to Boozer. Giving up Battier's leadership and all the small things he does on a good team really kills me, but we have Prince who is VERY similar and younger. Chandler is almost a perfect defensive fit next to Boozer. The picks mean nothing to me as they never have and never will. Rodrigue Beaubois will fill in as our primary back up 1/2 guard as he is young and fits what we are trying to do......Parker / JR Smith / Prince / Boozer / Chandler......gives me a very solid five with good D and good O....with great team ball. Good dealing with you Dallas and about time you answered!

You cannot trade consecutive 1st round picks as per the Ted Stepien Rule - see http://members.cox.net/lmcoon/salarycap.htm#Q73, unless you hold another teams 1st for one of those years (which I'm not sure you do...)
