Re: GMAT: March Madness Edition: Trades & Transactions
IF you have switched your roster to 2012/2013 salary, you can begin trading again. If any team is posted in a trade withpout the roster updated, that trade will simply get deleted.
Make sure your roster has correct holds (use the sham cap holds) and draft picks are a cap hold ( http://basketball.realgm.com/nba/info/rookie_scale/2013 REMEMBER, this is just the hold, not the contract, contract is 120% higher)
RFAs can not be trade till they sign, draft picks at this point are unsigned so have no salary in a trade (draft rites are being traded)
Its the off season (mid june for partial guaratees) so NO ROSTER LIMITS are being used so you can del 5 for 1 and stuff like that. Roster limits will be once the season starts which for this game is after FA period (believe its listed on schedule)

#205 Minnesota and Dallas:
Minnesota sends: Thaddeus Young($8,039,130)
Dallas sends: Gordon Hayward($2,709,720) + Rodrigue Beaubois($2,227,333) = $4,937,053
Dallas has caproom to absorb the difference.
Minnesota accepts. Roddy has nice potential as a scoring backup PG and a SG next to Rubio. Hayward is a nice fit as our future SF with his shooting / passing / handles and a solid defender.

Den sends 9 52, 56 2012 Draft
Rec 14 and 18
LAC Sends #14 and #18 2012 draft
Rec #9, 52 and 56 NBA Draft

Denver accepts. Not much of a dropoff from 9 to 14/18 IMO.

#208 Minnesota and San Antonio:
Minnesota sends: Ben Gordon($12,400,000) + Mike Dunleavy($3,750,000) = $16,150,000
San Antonio sends: Jason Richardson($5,799,625) + Glen Davis($6,400,000) + Wayne Ellington($2,083,042) + #50 = $14,282,667 X 1.25 = $17,853,333
Minnesota accepts. We save a little bit of money and break Ben Gordon up into 2 smaller contracts here. Also pick up a pick in the draft and a decent shooter.

San Antonio accepts.
After seeing how extremely low we were rated we're going to blow it up. We have possibly 5 (hoping to add more) picks for next year's draft and look to build from there.
First thing's first: dump any long term contracts.
Gordon for 2 years + Dunleavy for 1 year > Richardson for 3 years > Davis for 3 years along with the expirings of Brand & Harris.

Washington and Philadelphia have a trade to announce.
Wizards out:
Stephen Curry - $3,958,742
Reggie Williams - $2,612,500
Larry Sanders - $1,991,760
Hamady N'Diaye - $854,389
Total = $9,417,391
Sixers out:
Andrew Bynum - $16,100,000
Jameer Nelson - $8,600,000
Total = $24,700,000
After the amnesty of Rashard Lewis, the Washington Wizards have $43,970,772 of committed salary. After subtracting the outgoing salary by the incoming salary, you get $15,282,608 as the absorbed salary on our end. $43,970,772 + $15,282,608 = $59,253,381 (under the cap)
The Wizards accept this deal because we get a true center to pair with the newly drafted Thomas Robinson. We are very sad to see Steph go, but we value the center position more highly than the PG position and Jameer Nelson can get the job done there for us. Sorry for being M.I.A. lately, but thanks to BI for getting my feet wet in the action again!

Curry/Dirk will make it a dream for any inside presence, elite spacing and we FINALLY have a foundation to build around. Cause you know Durant wasn't good enough for us. We know hope that we are able to not trade for a week until FA. Pray for us.
