Still haven't gotten anything good enough for barea or Wes Matthews. Make your offers before the deadline passes!

I'm taking offers for Wes Matthews, Barea, and Joakim Noah. I'm not opposed to keeping any of these guys since they could all be decent veteran mentors for a young team but at the same time they might be more useful as last minute additions to a contender.

I'm also fielding offers for the NYK unprotected 2018 and 2020 first round picks along with my 20 million traded player exception. Shoot me an offer if you're interested!

1.) Since when are we using TPEs? Did I miss something?
2.) Dallas is under the cap, so they wouldn't have a TPE regardless.

Trade deadline is in 1 hour and 6 minutes.

All trades need to be properly posted and accepted by all parties to be approved BEFORE I LOCK THE THREAD!

I Got the TPE from ness when I traded Dirk for mostly cap space. As far as I know the nba allows a team to have a TPE even if they are under the cap?

The entire point of the TPE is so teams over the cap can make trades. If you aren't over the cap you don't get them.

It seems to me like it counts against salary cap space until revoked regardless of if a team is under or over the cap based on what I read. If I'm wrong on this someone please correct me?

They count against the cap but not the luxury tax – Paralleling other exceptions in the NBA, trade exceptions reduce a team’s salary cap space when on the books. Like the Mid-Level, they can be renounced should a team want that but already-existing trade exceptions can also be used to prop a team over the cap should that be strategically beneficial. (I must mention here that teams under the cap do not receive trade exceptions, another value of using tricks like cap holds to stay over the cap when possible to maximize flexibility.) However, it should also be noted that trade exceptions do not count against the luxury tax. Teams under the tax line like Oklahoma City and Golden State last season were not pushed over by having them and teams in the tax like Miami and Brooklyn did not have to pay additional tax on theirs.

Blazers would like a backup PG - we can take a 2:1 deal

Would consider moving - Evan Turner Alex Abrines, Solomon Hill or Meyers Leonard in the right deal.

Thabo Sefolosha, Jordan Hill, Adreian Payne, Luc Mbah A Moute, Mareese Speights, and JaVale McGee are all expiring veterans that are available for moderately cheap. Everyone else on the roster are still available (though if the offer is not formidable, I will happily be keeping my superstar players).

Chris Paul / Ricky Rubio / Austin Rivers
Zach LaVine / Thabo Sefolosha / Brandon Dawson
Luc Mbah A Moute / Thabo Sefolosha / Georges Niang
Blake Griffin / Luol Deng / Mareese Speights / JaVale McGee
Gorgui Dieng / Jordan Hill / Adreian Payne

I was well over the cap before the trade and it seems to me like there have been teams slightly under the cap that held TPE's due to the fact that with the TPE they are over the cap?

Pretty sure if you go below the cap you lose all exceptions as well as cap holds but I could be wrong.

You are allowed to either renounce the TPE and have cap space or keep the TPE and it counts against your cap if you drop under.
