Pistons accept. We love this small deal. We did it to bring not only to add depth to our roster, but to also infuse our team with promising young players, that we'd been missing since the departures of Monroe, Hansbrough and company. We tried to add Cunningham once before and this time we succeeded. Here in Detroit Cunningham won't be just a spectator, he'll have his opportunities to help our playoff team and we're looking to seeing him in action.

Cavs agree. We add another asset in a deep draft in 2012

The Deroit Pistons and New York Knickerbockers have agreed to a deal.

Detroit outgoing:

TPE (854,389)
Utah 2012 2nd rd pick
Total salaries: 854,389

New York outgoing:

Sebastian Telfair: 854,389
Total salaries: 854,389

Detroit incoming:

Sebastian Telfair: 854,389
Total salaries: 854,389

New York incoming:

TPE (854,389)
Utah 2012 2nd rd pick
Total salaries: 854,389

Pistons accept. In continuation with adding vitality to the bench, we add a young (25) point guard in Telfair, who has a ton of talent. Coming off his best statistical season last year, it seems Telfair has finally started to turn the corner and morphed some of that natural God-given talent and potential he has into a serviceable basketball player. We feel that by shadowing Kidd, Telfair couldn't be in a better position to really reach his pinnacle one day. Kidd will mentor this young guy an teach him everything he knows. One of the knocks on Telfair has been his poor shooting, but the Hall Of Famer, Jason Kidd, hasn't made into the hall based off his shooting touch either, so this is just one of the many areas we feel Kidd will help Telfair improve on and become a complete player. We look forward to Telfair being the new back-up point guard in Detroit.

NYK accepts. We LOVE 2nd round picks, and Telfair was our 3rd stringer. UTA is in rebuild mode, so the pick will most likely be around 40ish, which is perfect.

The Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers have a blockbuster deal to announce.

The Miami Heat Receive:
C Solomon Alabi

The Cleveland Cavaliers Receive:
2014 2nd Round Pick

Heat accept.

Pretty easy deal for me. We really don't have a long term center on our roster. Mohammed will play out the rest of his contract and retire, and once Biedrins contracts runs out, he probably won't be brought back unless he takes a pay cut. Alabi might never be anything more than a third string center, but for a pick that's going to be 55 or lesser I'm not going to find a much better player than Alabi. I'm going to take him and develop him.

Cavs agree. Alabi was just taking up roster space and the future 2nd can be used to stash a Euro.

Utah Jazz Trade:

Josh Smith - $12,500,000
Kevin Martin - $11,519,840
Ronnie Price - $854,389
Andrew Goudelock - $854,389

Total = $25,728,618

Charlotte Bobcats Trade:

Derrick Williams - $5,305,080
Gerald Henderson - $2,250,600
Marvin Williams - $8,050,000
Eduardo Najera - $2,750,000

Total = $18,355,680

Deal works as Charlotte have $10m in cap space (Karmaloop - I have all ness' salaries in a spreadsheet if you need to see)

Why for the Jazz? Well, I spent a good week or so thinking about this, I love Derrick Williams but also felt I was gutting my team and it's a big risk to take. That said, I'm a small market team, and the only way to really get my core to work is to get them to grow together. Williams, along with Henderson, Knight, Favors, Hayward, Bynum etc, will all have time to grow together, and hopefully I can build a second version of OKC...

We really like what Andre Iguodala brings to the table, but he really regressed last year not to mention his style is too similar to LeBron James. We receive a much better fit at SG in Kevin Martin, and yet another valuable big man in Mareese Speights.

The Pistons and Bulls have agreed to a deal.

Pistons outgoing:

Minnesota's 2012 2nd rd pick

Bulls outgoing:

Rights to Chandler Parsons

Pistons incoming:

Rights to Chandler Parsons

Bulls incoming:

Pistons accept. We are pleased to annoucne the completion of our team with the addition of Chandler Parsons. Parson's is the final piece of the youth infusion we've been tirelessly trying to achieve. Skill-wise he's like a Lamar Odom and mentally he's Luke Walton--what a great combination in a player. We look forward to Parsons archoring the third string with his intangibles, extremely high basketball i.q., passing abilities and size--perfect glue guy...

Team had a log jam of bigs and with Gibson and Bogans needing an extension some future salary flexibility is needed.
