Re: Spring '13 GMAT Discussion Thread
I think 90% of people had me ranked 4th / 5th / 6th in the west.
Exactly where I thought I'd be.
And @ Scott. I do not own anyone's pick in the first round. You said I own Memphis. I do not. But thanks for trying to make me look like I'm judging someone worse, to get their pick. Because that's not the case.
Only pick I own I the Charlotte 2013 second, and I ranked them higher then most.
I'm as fair as they get. The rankings (with everyone's averaged in) will show a true portrait. That's why it's critical all 30 GM's submit rankings. One way or another.

How is Philly so high? Bynum is out. People pretend he's not. Don't get it. No offense to the Philly GM at all. It's a great team when healthy, but they aren't healthy right now.

Also, I post my rankings so there are no hidden agendas.
If everyone emails them, then no one can see that.

The reason why Bynum is still on my roster is because people know he is hurt, I don't think that is the reason they rank me high.

Bness - I tried to IM you this morning, but you like to put issues on the threads. My point is that posting creates a bias - and I will stand by that. I actually had Memphis ranked 14 (in my ranking sent to orangeparka as originally instructed). I was confused when I looked at your roster and saw:
2013 First : If 1 - 13 the pick will go to New York, if 14 - 30 it goes to Cleveland
First (Memphis) 1-13 protected. If pick is 14 - 30 I get the pick. (Traded to Denver)
I apologize for calling you out on that aspect of this deal. But I think the Blind rankings are as important to the integrity of this game as YOU think the published ones are. And once anyone publlishes - the bias is out there. It would be interesting to see how it would play out without having to account for others opinions, but its not going to happen. If you don't think your opinions carry more weight in this game than others, your kidding yourself. Agree to disagree and I assume we will be dealing again next season, but there is a reason we use Private Ballots to elect Presidents! But it is a game.

I think you're under-selling the rest of the Sixers roster. Jrue's a budding star at 18/4/8 with a clearly inferior supporting cast in RL. Marcus Thornton (@ 19/4/2 per 36) is the near ideal fit to add spacing to the floor, and put him in a situation where he's getting starter minutes and this is a MASSIVE upgrade over Damien Wilkins. Paul Millsap is a HUGE improvement over Evan Turner, who I still have high hopes for. Putting up 15/7 right now for Utah. Yes, there is a bit of a downgrade going from Spener Hawes to Kwame Brown, but I think they improve offensively. That team will do well during the regular season in a really weak Eastern conference.
