LA Clippers Trade
Sebastian Telfair $2,500,000

LA Clippers Receive
Chris Duhon $6,031,800
Will Bynum $825,497
Rights to Petteri Koponen
Rights to Joel Freeland
Miami 2011 1st round pick
Portland 2011 1st round pick

Portland Trade
Joel Przybilla $6,857,725
Chris Duhon $6,031,800
Brandon Roy $3,910,816
2011 1st round pick
Rights to Petteri Koponen
Rights to Joel Freeland
$16,800,341 x 1.25 + 100,000 = $21,100,426

Portland Receives
Joe Johnson $14,976,754
Al Horford $4,307,640
Sebastian Telfair $2,500,000
$21,784,394

San Antonio Trade
Will Bynum $825,497
Joe Johnson $14,976,754
Al Horford $4,307,640
Miami 2011 1st round pick
$20,109,891

San Antonio Recieve
Brandon Roy $14,284,974
Joel Przybilla $6,857,725
$21,142,699

trade is illegal by 600k in salary so portland has to send out a min contract somewhere and it will be fine.

Yes this was my 1st impression but Portland have ~3.5 million in cap space. isn't that enough to absorb the difference? And again another newbie question, if i am correct and the cap space is enough to make the numbers work wouldn't Portland generate a TPE? Sorry but i am 100% clueless about TPEs

I was just going to post the same thing.

Trade Denied

and

I was leaning towards veto anyway since JJ being unrestricted would have been highly unlikely to sign an extension anyway with what would be left in PDX to surround him with.

if Por is willing to take that risk why shouldn't he have that option? Horford is a great rebuilding piece as well but fair enough not the first time I've been vetoed...this is mildly depressing I love Roy..egh.

I said I was leaning in that direction but it is irrelevant as the trade does not work financially anyway.

I'd like to drop Foyle.

Then we'll do a trade with Sacramento:

Luther Head for Carlos Delfino. He is under the cap so it works.

I'm happy to get rid of the long deal. Head is guaranteed so it is easy. When/If this goes thru I'll drop Head.

Kobe and the Lakers have reached an agreement on an extension.
Kobe has opted out of his current deal, and resigned another deal where he will retire a laker.
Kobe loves the fact that he will finish his career in LA with Nash, Duncan, and Artest.
This deal also has a no-trade clause in it.

2010/11 $22,000,000
2011/12 $24,000,000
2012/13 $26,000,000
2013/14 $28,000,000
2014/15 $30,000,000(PO)

Good negotiating with you commish.

Confirmed

Kobe loves the spotlight, LA has the biggest stage in the NBA and a great chance at winning it all year in and year out. He is also in control of his own destiny with the no trade clause and is very happy to continue to sport the Purple and Gold.

100% accurate, that is why NBA contracts have trade kickers in them which this game ignores!

void contract Kobe is a FA and signs a min contract in Orlando

So does Kobe's pay cut start in 2010 or 2011?

Wow, I can't believe I completely forgot about trade kickers. We should start using them in the next game.

Kobe was in no way going to opt out of 24 million dollars in real life like he did last game, he would sign a contract extension. Makes perfect sense.
