Suns, Nuggets, and Raptors have agreed upon a trade.

Suns send Marcin Gortat ($6,790,640), Mike Miller ($5,400,000) and Al Jefferson ($14,000,000) in exchange for 2013 and 2014 TOR 2nd Rounders, Chris Bosh ($16,022,500), C.J. Watson ($3,400,000), Chris Andersen ($4,869,100), and A.J. Price ($884,293).

Suns Outgoing: $26,190,640
Suns Incoming: $25,175,893

Works.

Raptors send 2013 and 2014 TOR 2nd Rounders, Chris Bosh ($16,022,500), Louis Williams ($5,176,000), C.J. Watson ($3,400,000), and A.J. Price ($884,293) in exchange Luke Ridnour ($3,600,000), Marcin Gortat ($6,790,640), Mike Miller ($5,400,000), Jodie Meeks ($884,293) and Al Jefferson ($14,000,000).

Raptors Outgoing: $25,482,793 X 1.25 = $31,853,491
Raptors Incoming: $30,674,933

Works.

Nuggets send Luke Ridnour ($3,600,000) Chris Anderson ($4,869,100), Jodie Meeks ($884,293) in exchange for Lou Williams ($5,176,000).

Nuggets Outgoing: $9,353,393
Nuggets Incoming: $5,176,000

Works, as receiving less than outgoing.

Nuggets accept begrudgingly. We were bored out of our mind. We were looking to shake things up (and still are, really bored of my team), and while we don't really like this deal, we like what Lou Williams brings off the bench, especially he being young as well. We think a core of Lou, Hill, and Amir J can do damage off the bench. This also cuts roughly 4M in salary which was important to us as we were getting to levels which we didn't want to be in.

Raptors accept, we were also getting bored of our team, and I think we were pretty much stuck with what he had with not many assets to move around. We feel Al is a nice player, and he will be surrounded by good defenders to overcome his shortcomings.

PHX accepts. May have overpaid here for Bosh, but he's a top 4 PF in this league, and was 24/11 last year when he was the 1st option. I had a few excess bigs, so losing a couple isn't so bad. Anderson provides the true defensive big for us, we fully take care of the backup PG situation, and as long as one of those 2 2nds turns into something decent, I think we made the right call.

Dallas and Philadelphia have agreed to a trade
Dallas Out: Elliot Williams $1,349,000
Philadelphia Out: future considerations

Dallas accepts. Williams won't make it far with my depth chart and I want some flexibility in trading or signing Vucevic. Philadelphia has the cap space to absorb Elliot's contract.

Accept. Low-risk, high reward deal here. Williams has a team option on his deal after the 2012 season, so we're not committed to him for very long. This is his season to basically show us if he deserves to be in the league.

PHX accepts. Al Jefferson is more of a 1st option than Gasol, and the same age, so were happy to bring him on the team. We hate to see Frye leave, as we liked his shooting and scoring abilities, but we needed wings, and Miller is a decent enough fit.

After a quiet weekend, I have finally concluded a couple of interlinked trade ideas, so here goes.

Portland and New Orleans have a trade to announce.

Portland Trades

Anderson Varejao - $7,950,000
Jonas Jerekbo - $3,000,000
Jared Dudley -$4,250,000
Outgoing = $15,200,000 (*1.25+100k = $19.1m)

New Orleans Trades

Luol Deng - $12,325,000
Quincy Pondexter - $1,153,800
Nikola Pekovic - $4,595,000
Outgoing = $18,073,800 - the deal works!

Why for Portland? I've been looking to add 3rd option for a while now, and in Deng I have found just that. 3rd option on the current championship favourites, 18ppg and all-NBA-defence... I sacrifice a lot, my 10/10 Center, my favourite defensive role player in Dudley, and Jerebko whom I believe will have a great career - but I think this is worth it to ensure my team is competitive as it can be.
There is no consolation prize. Winning is everything.

And as a follow up:

Portland and Toronto have a trade to announce.

Portland Trades

Carl Landry - $8,000,000
Nikola Pekovic -$4,595,000
Total Outgoing = $12,595,000

Toronto Trades

Chuck Hayes - $7,000,000
Johan Petro - $3,250,000
Jodie Meeks - $884,293
Total Outgoing = $11,134,293

Why for Portland? I probably overpay here in terms of gm-a-team 'perception', but I love the team I end up with afterwards. Hayes is an underrated defender, his 8 pts 8 rebounds in 28 minutes being low profile, but when he does this: you can't help but be impressed. Arguably the best post defender in the league :)

Toronto accepts. Hate to lose Hayes, but we feel Landry gives us more of a scoring punch for our team. We also think swapping Petro with Pekovic is a solid move, Pekovic is a beast down low who can score in the post and use his strength to bother players.

New Orlean Accepts

Why for the Hornets? Did not want to deal Deng but netting a defensive anchor Center was the key here and were getting one of the best in Varejao. Varejao offers instant production at our weakest position. Adding two young excellent replacements at SF in Dudley and Jerebko helps fill the void left by Deng. All 3 players offer great value as are on good contracts and now the future looks a lot brighter in New Orleans.

NJ and PHX have a trade to announce.

NJ outgoing:
Joe Johnson $18,038,573
Andrei Kirelenko $5,800,000
Keynon Martin $2,000,000
Total: $25,838,573

PHX outgoing:
Chris Bosh $16,022,500
Mickael Pietrus $5,300,000
Vince Carter $2,800,000
Total: $24,122,500

When Bosh was in TOR he was 24/11, as a 2nd option his numbers drop but he should fit in nicely beside D12. The range on his jimmy and pick and pop game with Nash will put other teams bigs in trouble and open up the paint for Dwight.
