It is an opinion though and can't knock it.

Here's my reasoning: 1 superstar besides lebron is never enough to carry a team into the playoffs as far as I've seen...and with WB out, we saw how OKC has struggled even with KD individually still performing decently.

He's done it for the past few games man. I wouldn't be shocked if he does it irl to get his last 3 year contract.

On a side note Darrell Arthur has a player option, just wanted to make sure the commish was aware of that. It's cool if he accepts it though, either way no complaints from me haha

Why wouldn't amare go as a FA this year? I'm pretty sure not many players would want to play for a team as bad as mine. I thought he would be going for a title rather than worrying about money this late in his career?

That 23M is way more than any long term (total) FA contract he could get with his current playing status. It makes sense for him to opt in to show what he's still got.

It's ranked Age/Money/Injury and he is starting to get pretty old now.

Let me clarify. You're right about him getting old. Because he's old and coming back from a bad injury, he knows it's hard to get a new contract. Therefore, assuming he still wants to get money, he should opt in for 23M this season which is more than what he could get offered for his level of play (again, due to his age and injury).

Ok just thought because he was a FA in the last 2 games he would be now.

There's no way amare opts out of that deal. 24 million is what he'd make in 3-4 years in the best case scenario.

There are no dates for the free agency timeline for a reason.

It will start immediately after The draft and playoffs are complete.

Thanks.

Also, need more rankings.

Didn't opt out last game with a worst supporting cast IMO.

Doesnt matter, but I'm away from the 5-13th , so will miss playoffs/ free agency. Thats why I didn't care for cap space or expirings. Didn't think an aging Duncan would opt out with the roster I put around him. He even has Lopez Jefferson and Anderson to play as much mins as the can to keep him healthy.

Best to Worst

Chicago - Should have the best record in all of basketball this year.
Houston - Even if this team rested their older stars, they're probably the most talented team.
Cleveland - If this team could choose a direction, they'd be dynamite.
Miami - This team definitely regressed. They were the best team because of LeBron.
Golden State - Melo is going to help them win a bunch of games, especially in the regular season.
Indiana - LeBron James made the Cavaliers a 60 win team, so he can make this Pacers team legitimate.
Milwaukee - Everyone will pack the paint against this team.
LA Clippers - Backcourt says run, front court says senior citizen center. Really going to hurt them.
New York - Much like Sacramento, this team is going to be competitive in almost all games.
Oklahoma City - Rose/Kawhi/Gasol should win some games, but not a contender anymore.
Sacramento - This team will go and surprise everyone with their play.
Brooklyn - This looks like a dysfunctional team to me. Talented, but dysfunctional.
Phoenix - Some issues (and probably a few headaches later), but this team could win a few games in the West.
New Orleans - Health issues and backcourt production are going to hold this team back.
San Antonio - Kevin Durant is good, but he's not that good. This is a mid-40 win team max.
Portland - Lillard/Beal/Drummond is going to win games, almost by accident.
Memphis - Wants to be bad, but has too much young talent to really be bad.
Washington - I'll be honest, I think this team doesn't have any offensive direction. And flops bad.
Atlanta - Brook Lopez is charmin soft, and so is the rest of this team.
Orlando - Some nice pieces, but not a great fit at thsis time.
Charlotte - Curry should win them some games, but still not a contender.
Dallas - Some interesting pieces, but fit issues.
Denver - Too many teams with a superstar, and scrubs around them and Denver is that situation.
Minnesota - Chris Paul might be good, but he's not turning this scrub roster into a playoff team.
Utah - Not a whole lot of high level talent.
Toronto - Trying to build a contender, but still a bad team no matter how you slice it.
LA Lakers - They needed to get bad, and the clash of overpaid players could create issues.
Philadelphia - Waiters is really the only player here, but still have decent veterans.
Boston - And the tanking is strong with this one.

I will tally rankings in AM, hopefully right on time for the draft.

I'm dead tired, and will get to it then.

Worst case, I'm a few hours behind, best case it's right on time.

Bare with me Klomp.

Just thought I'd put in my 2 cents as a west coaster, 5 am is pretty ridiculously early for us. I can understand 8 in the morning on the east being an ok time but in the next game I'd hope that the west coasters are taken into consideration in the draft times allotted. As it stands if the draft is a few hours late I wouldn't be too bothered personally.

To whom it may concern- Tonight is daylight savings. Turn it back an hour & change the batteries in your smoke detectors ;-)

Note: I watched Michael Carter-Williams play tonite and "wow". By far Philly's best player. Very well could be the ROY.
