Los Angeles will send:

Jordan Farmar ($1,080,000)

Works with 125% rule.

Why?
Small deal but helps both teams with wholes. I have a gapping hole at the back up point. Farmar, not only my boy, but he fills this spot for the back up. Big Baby fills a spot for L.A. because he doesnt have alot of big man depth. Good trade for both team.

Rashard Lewis/Houston's portion of the Charlotte '10 1st round pick

For

Brad Miller/Darius Songaila/'11 1st

Why for Houston: So we're not paying $120 million or whatever in 2012. Also, the pick will be invaluable in keeping competitive over a long period of time. Brad Miller will also be an invaluable backup to Yao.

Rights to Josh Childres

To LAL for

Pau Gasol
Adam Morrison
Sun Yue
Josh Powell

Atlanta is sending $22,130,022 and receiving 23,006,300 back

Atlanta do this deal to get another star in their team on a much needed position and hard position to fill. Pau proved to be very effective playing C in LAL and Atlanta believe he is worth more than he is being paid, even if his salary is expensive. Morrison is young and if he fail to fill the backup SF role for Atlanta he will be a expiring next season. Sun Yue might develop in a decent player and we want to try to develop him. Josh Powell will add a much needed depth and we love his energy on the court.

Atlanta is sad to see Mo Will and Turkoglu go but Pau is a guy they believe they must get to complete the team.

Lakers accept we get to shed some salary and get an all star PG who has played great alongside Lebron and hedo will get great looks with players like lebron and allen on the floor. this deal also helps a great deal at the center position with ZAZA taking over, childress right will be put to good use this offseason. Also this deal still helps me contend for the championship this season

There were two veto requests; but I've decided to let this trade go through.

The Miami Heat and Dallas Mavericks have agreed to a trade.

Miami sends:

Rashard Lewis- $16,447,871
Tayshaun Prince- $9,500,000
Yakhouba Diawara- $875,000
Jamaal Magloire- $797,581
2009 IND 2nd (#43)
2009 CLE 2nd (#60)
2012 MIA 1st

Total: $27,620,452

Dallas sends:

David West- $9,862,500
Josh Howard- $9,945,000
Rashard McCants- $2,620,126

Total: $22,427,626

Math Works: $22,427,626 x 1.25 + 100,000 = $28,134,533 > $27,620,452

Miami accepts. It's incredibly tough to lose a guy like Prince who has a number of qualities but we desperately need a post presence here.
West should account for the loss of offense in Lewis, and Howard is a nice replacement to Prince.
Adding picks was necessary to add more value to the deal.

I had to do it.

First off, i got Maggette for CHEAP, it only took me like Mark Blount, so losing him won't hurt, he can't exist with my team since my team needs touches, and when some of my starters rest, either Gil, Ray, Prince or Shard stays with the benchies.

Secondly, Nash is still a good guy, but unfortunately, I'm building my team to win and at teh same time, for my enjoyment, I love Gilbert, and Im a fan of him obviously, so I wanted to keep him, RAY RAY's clutchness would be definitely welcomed here, now I know Luke and Sasha's contracts sucks, but still, they're decent rotational guys, that reunites Sasha, Walton with Radmanovic! The big 3 ftw?

Plus Diarrhea sucks..bah, that's it.

Minnesota basically sheds 2010 salary to pick up a 2010 pick

Denver accepts. Rose does not give us anything, and the pick will most likely be in the bottom 5, so giving it up is not a big deal. I gain some 2010 salary, but Ridnour expires in that year and if I am desperate for a pick I can just trade him. I also already have Charlotte's 2010 first as long as it is 12 or over--so most likely I will have a 1st round pick anyway. This works perfectly for our plan of being in the lux-tax for one year in order to set up for the next. I will have a ton of money coming off the books in 2010. Luke will be a major part of this team both this year, and next.

The New York Knicks and Los Angles Lakers have agreed upon a trade:

Maurice Williams $8,353,000

for

Chris Wilcox $6,750,000
Nate Robinson $2,020,179
2010 2nd New York

The lakers accept as we get 2 2009 expirings for Mo Williams. Williams became expendable with the aquisation of Steve Nash. We feel Robinson will be a great sixth man of the bench for us, as well we add a quality big man in wilcox who is a pretty big expiring. With the recent fury of the trades the lakers have made we have quite dramitically cut our payroll (its between 75M-80M) which is essential in this economic crisis we are currently going through. The only contract that we have going past 2010 is Maggatee's. Though we may no longer be a contender this season we are looking to add a quality player this offseason to go along with Nash and Lebron.

Current Lineup

Nash/Fisher/Nate
Maggatee/Nate/Hughes
Lebron/Hedo/barry/hughes
Hedo/Varejao/Glen Davis
Zaza/Wilcox/Oberto/Marks

**It has come to the Lakers attention that Hedo prefers to be starting at the SF position, however he know that Lebron is the man so he has quitely asked to be dealt or if he is staying he is commited to hitting up the gym and bulking up to play the position.

Get in ur Bids now on Hedo looking for a starting PF with a short term contract, if it is a long term contract im going to be adding maggattees contract in the deal

New York accepts, while i didnt like giving up the 2010 2nd rounder, it was a necessary move to make to get a player of Mos quality for a midget and a guy who cant shoot outside of 3 feet. Also this makes losing Bibby in the offseason a non factor for me. For now Bibby will be playing the SG position.

Mo Williams/Sebastian Telfair/Stephon Marbury
Mike Bibby/Leandro Barbosa
Quentin Richardson/Brian Cardinal
Lamar Odom/Donyell Marshall/
Rasheed Wallace/Theo Ratliff/DJ Mbenga/Solomon Jones

weak at the SF but we hope to solve that problem in 2010 ;)

Minn picks up another pick. Balkman was not in our plans and Sasha's contract isn't guaranteed so the cap hit isn't that bad.

The Pacers send Earl Watson ($6,200,000), Francisco Garcia ($1,983,453), and Ron Artest ($7,400,000) for Chris Kaman ($9,500,000), Bruce Bowen ($4,000,000) and George Hill ($1,006,200).

Pacers Outgoing: $15,583,453
Bobcats Outgoing: $14,506,200

This deal is primarily contingent on Garcia's PPP being eliminated already being traded once. If that's not the case, then the deal can be done without the Garcia/Hill swap.

Pacers accept, we were too afraid to lose Artest in FA, especially already having Iggy and Granger on the wings (not to mention, Artest and Indiana don't have the greatest relationship). Here we pick up a rather younger C that's shown he can be a double double player in the league, and can rank among the elites in terms of shot-blocking. Hill provides another young asset that we're high on and feel can contribute not only now but even more in the future.

Artest was really a good fit and so we looked for pieces that made sense. We save money and get the player we wanted in Milsap.

Trading can begin with 2009-2010 salaries. I will also post the decisions about the team options and ETO sometime tonight.

Minnesota also renounces the rites to Robert Swift, Jake Voskal, and Aaron Grey.

when do we need to decide on unguaranteed contract or partial guaranteed contract options?
