Re: 1975 THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WASN'T
I am not a fan of trading in games like this at all.
Players should be drafted by virtue of fit, not because you think you can get something good for them. It drastically changes the spirit of the game in a manner I've never really wanted happening.
I also agree with the issue Sabas has.
Also, I've been looking at it.
This thread has fewer than 10 VIEWS since the starting time was set, let alone replies. I don't think waiting another day will gain us another player. The interested parties have come forward already.

Terrific.
Is Cellar around?
I also suggest editing the title to reflect who is on the clock.

I was operating under the assumption that Bob Mcadoo would be the first pick, and I have my top 2 choices lined up.

Ya... there was no way that I would pass up on over 2,800 points....

For clarification, Lucius Allen is NOT available to me, right? It looks like he was traded.

The scene is 1974. Willis Reed has retired, and future HOFer Walt Frazier knows he'll never win another ring without an elite center. He wishes upon a star and begs the heavens to supply him with another future HOF center with range, a great attitude, defensive ability, and an overall balanced game.

Re: 1975 THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WASN'T (Snake)

With the fourth overall pick in the 1975 Contraction Draft, the Golden State Warriors are pleased to select. . .

Elvin Hayes!
He was the best player on the board to be frank. He's not the most efficient of offensive players, but his impact on both ends of the floor went beyond his FG%. He finished 3rd in MVP Voting, was named to the All-NBA First team, and appeared on the All-NBA Defensive team as well (an impressive 1.9 steals and 2.3 blocks on the weakside). An elite rebounder, with a nasty turnaround mid-range jumper, Hayes was able to shoot a very respectable 76% from the line (helping that aforementioned efficiency or lack thereof).
Yeah I know I'm going to get the argument that Hayes was a higher volume player, and with Barry it might not be the greatest of fits but I'd disagree with that notion based on whom else is surrounded around these two superstars. Bottom line is, Hayes and Barry combine to be a lethal one-two punch, and depending on the players around them, would be unstoppable in a single season setting.

Since we don't need scoring that badly, Kentucky takes a University of Louisville product that is generally acknowledged as one of the greatest rebounders, man defenders, block out artists, outlet passers and probably the nastiest pick setter to ever play the game . . . . Wes Unseld.

You picked Miller's Pacer . . . just like I did in the 95 game. Poor Miller . . .
