As usual, I'd like it if we all pared our writeups down so they're more easily digestable.

And I'll keep the girls out of mine.

So do I just do a write-up for TMAC and Luke this first round, then if I get past them I do one against the other winner from my conference?

Writeups will be due Thursday. ASAP is better however, to save time for rebuttals.

Just looked in on the first few writeups (about half are there) and had a few comments just for the fun of it . . .

Tiny and Oscar playing together? Who plays off ball?

Kareem and Elvin in the same locker room? E’s going to be one unhappy camper

Bobby Jones playing 40 minutes? Great as he was, he never played big minutes after his second season in the league for whatever reason.

Sven Nater listed as a F? One of the most immobile centers ever (though Buddha played some PF and both Robinson and Lanier had the mobility to do so).

Generally seeing a lot of centers playing PF; this didn't always work well (Bellamy and Reed, Wilt and Nate Thurmond, etc.). Think about spacing and where they set up for their pet moves when evaluating.

penbeast, and Baller 24 are confirmed judges. I'd like to get some more, but we can proceed with peer voting as usual.

I was meaning to post this earlier, but I think the initial "Era Points" might be too far spread apart. I was discussing this with Snake, and few others, and think this variation might be more fair for all parties involved, especially the middle tier group.

0 Points for not winning a matchup
4 Points for winning one matchup in Robin Round
8 Points for advancing past Robin ROUND
12 Points for advancing to Finals
17 Points for winning era.

So, I ran across my very first ATL...and the Discussion Thread was 60 pages. This is WEAK compared to that, it was full of discussion of nearly every pick. Let's bring that back!

And Cellar, I was saying "fml" because of different reasons than this game. It's my fault taking it out Nique. ;)

Couple of things I'm interested in seeing:

Mullin matching up with shooting guards in the era. Nellie certainly likes turning 1's and 2's into 3's and 3's into 4's and 5's, but in this case the decision seems warranted. He'll have to come up with some solution against the Jordans, Gervins, Drexlers, and (dare I say) Moncriefs of the era.

Bird and Erving together at the forward spots: A nightmare to stand up against defensively, but is Bird/Laimbeer enough front court defense to get the job done?

Nique is a player I've always thought was accused of being overrated so frequently that he's actually become underrated in these parts. Perhaps TMAC can give him some relevance in these games.

Remember, next round is A. Send in lists if you're not going to be here, either PM me, or email me at: t_mac_1123@hotmail.com -- I would prefer PM's though.

And yeah, Nique is now going to be my favorite player in the NBA history from this point. NIQUEFORMVP.

Otis Thorpe was a bad selection, he should have gone in the fourth round...to my team.

I should've gotten Pippen and Rodman and Horace Grant. I feel these are the type of players that would mesh well with Jordan.
