Re: 60s/80s/00s Split-Eras Draft Thread (Tony Snell OTC)
per list Dantley selects:
Vince Carter
I was really tempted to take this guy myself but Dantley informed me there was no way I was going to get both DIkembe and VInce and I sobered up to the fact he maybe wasnt the best fit as a third option. Great pickup regardless.

Re: 60s/80s/00s Split-Eras Draft Thread (Tony Snell OTC)
David Robinson

Yea I already have Deke. But with Barkley I want 48 minutes of elite rim protection. Keep both fresh. They are different enough to not be redundant. Deke brings more rim protection and rebounding and Robinson brings more scoring and defending in space.
Will probably run 5 minutes of twin towers.
Considering I thought about him in round 3 I'm happy to luxury pick him.
Just a by far BPA really.

Let the point guard run begin. I need some juice for the offense and I've never had this guy.

2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Corporal Mike Conley of the 3 & D regiment reporting for duty.
2008-2009
Not only can he defend and shoot 40% from 3 this year, but he's very good at feeding the post with his history of playing alongside talented bigs (Oden in high school & college and with Gasol)...which will be great with Kareem here.
He's got a mature game and mindset that will allow him to hang with these vets.

After much deliberation, I'll go with Artis Gilmore to round out my starting 5. Nobody is beating that production for 10 FGA

Thank god the last of this tier of point guards made it to me. I choose Mark Price. One of the best offensive point guards in this game. Great shooter, distributor of one of the best offenses in the league.

Re: 60s/80s/00s Split-Eras Draft Thread (Wackbone OTC)
I only really have two options here, have to get my starting pg and he has to be able to shoot. So I'll go with:

Derek Harper. He comes a little cheaper and is a better defender than my other option, comparable shooter, slightly worse playmaker but given I have Wilt and Moncrief so that shouldn't be an issue. Yeah, this feels like the right pick.
