2-way contracts are limited to up to 2 years. AFAIK

It looks like you are right. http://www.hothothoops.com/2017/4/22/15393432/two-way-contract-miami-heat-james-johnson-hassan-whiteside-justise-winslow-draft-pick-dion-waiters

I was thinking that you could offer 3 years to a rookie because they have 0 years of experience and 3 years of service is the cutoff for two-way contracts. Thanks for pointing that out. I will modify my offer.

The Kings would like to offer a two-way contract to V.J. Beachem (2-years).

I´m in talks with another team about trading my 1st alongside Hill AND Moore so if you want that pick you have to take on both as well.

The Pelicans´ main goal right now is to get off as much cap as possible and everybody, except AD and Boogie, is available btw.

FWIW the Timberwolves would be interested in a S+T for Jrue Holiday.

I'm only interested in s&t if you offer him max money...

Nah. I don't have the cap space for any of those max guys so nibbling on the fringes for bench players is right in line with my strategy.

Oh and congrats for posting a group message that is actually relevant for everyone in the group.
Why rely on nuance, facts and logic when you can bludgeon the other side with mindless repetition of "Duuur McDaniel's has potential :tooth and still be treated as if you were reasonable.

I disagree, If a team can get the players of whatever tier they want to sign with them on day 1 they should be able to do it. Some teams don't have the capspace to go after those and will go after lower tier players on day 1. They shouldn't be punished further. If they can strike a deal with a player, let them strike it.

Yeah, some teams aren't looking for a splash and try and pick up the little fish while everyone worries about the big guys... and Drose doesn't belong on any kind of tier list

Agree with that. Everyone build their FA strategy the way they'd like.

How interested are Blake Griffin and Gordon Hayward with teaming up together? Both would have to make a salary sacrifice this season, but we'd give them a 1+1 deal for 2 years/45.7 million each... they can opt out next season and take full advantage of MAX... we'd surround them with Harden, Beverly, Gordon and Cappella.. I'm sure we can full rest of roster with vets looking to join us for a championship...

The Toronto Raptors would like to offer their free agents Kyle Lowry and Serge Ibaka new contracts. Toronto are offering Kyle Lowry a 4y 30 million per year contract with the last year being a player option. Toronto are offering Serge Ibaka a 5y 20 million per year contract with the last being a player option.

If teams are looking to dump contracts along with future assets, the Kings can consider taking them on until 4:30 PM PST (7:30 PM EST) today. If a deal has not been agreed upon before then, we will go after our FA targets.

I´d accept Hill, Moore, 2018 1st (top-18 in 2018/lotto-protected in 2019/top-10 protected in 2020) for Jackson and your big guy.

To make things easier for our commissioner (if all participants accept) I´d like to combine my trade proposals:

Mavericks trade: Wes Matthews
Mavericks aquire: Frazier, Asik (like I said, you can use the stretch provision on him), 2019 NOP 2nd
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pistons trade: Jackson, Marjanovic
Pistons aquire: Hill, Moore, 2018 NOP 1st (top-18 in 2018/lotto-protected in 2019/top-10 protected in 2020)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pelicans trade: Asik, Moore, Hill, Frazier, 2018 1st, 2019 2nd
Pelicans aquire: Jackson, Marjanovic, Matthews

Our part of this is a go. Pleasure doing business with you!

I'll wait on Chuck before PMing the trade to sportscrazy. I assume we're still good to go if he declines?

Thanks again and good luck through the rest of free agency (with both your teams)!

I´ve calculated it once again and Chuck has to take on Marjanovic to get a deal done. Maybe you can send him a 2nd as well?
http://basketball.realgm.com/tradechecker/saved_trade/6872700
I simply can´t take on him, sorry.

Would you still be interested in Hill, Moore, 2018 1st (lotto/top-10/top-6 protected) for Jackson if the Mavs decline?

Sorry for my delayed response, but today's just been crazy in the real world for me.

I really wanna say yes, but I also really need to move Boban to take on that much salary. Please let me try to find him another home and I'll get back to you? Thanks!

The Memphis Grizzlies will make offers to the following players:

PF Zach Randolph: 2yrs worth 22.3 million with P/O in the second year.

The Grizzlies will love for Zach to return to the city of Grit-N-Grind. This city help Zach revitalized his career and image all around. Zbo already loves the city of Memphis and Memphis loves him back in return. He's an active player and member of the Memphis community. His presence on the bench in terms of offense and rebounding will prove vital as the Grizzlies will continue to be competitive in the Western Conference.

PF Terrence Jones: Bi-Annual Exception 3 yrs starting at 3.29 million P/O in the third year

The Grizzlies would like to reach out to the agent of Jones. Jones will be looking at an opportunity to start and be effective for the Grizzlies frontcourt via his abilities to be versatile on offense(inside and out), rebounding and shot blocking on defense. Being that this Grizzlies team is looking to improve the offensive ranking, having someone of Jones caliber would be a good asset to acquire.

SG/SF K.J. McDaniels: Mid-Level Exception 3yrs starting at 8.46 million

The Grizzlies would like to get younger and aggressive at the SG spot. We feel that KJM will be the player the Grizzlies can acquire for that purpose to replace Tony Allen. Like the Grindfather, KJM will provide aggressive defense and will be assigned to defend opposition's best players. KJM's effectiveness in transition offense, dunks, improving perimeter offense, and abilities to play multiple positions when suited will be essential to the Grizzlies core to gain winning results.

SF/SG James Young: 2 yr deal worth 3.2 million

The Grizzlies will be taking a flyer on Young in this case. Young's time in Boston was inconsistent at best. With the Grizzlies, he will have the opportunity to work with Coach Fizdale to develop his skills set and become a better player with the team. With Parsons and his history of injuries, it's possible that Young will find minutes to play from off the bench.

Yes. I have a really convoluted 2019 2nd rounder I can send; otherwise, my next available is 2021.

• The Detroit Pistons offer Jared Sullinger a two year deal starting at $1,178,992 (i.e. the minimum salary for a player with his years in the league). We're willing to guarantee 50% of this salary for each year and include a player option on the second season.

In other words, we're offering him the quintessential "make good" deal. We've always thought Jared Sullinger possess a rare and valuable skill set that will fit quite well as a rotational back up to, and sometimes front court partner with, Andre Drummond. But things have NOT gone well for Jared over the past year; some of those things (such as injuries) are beyond his control, but others (his work ethic and weight) are not. He needs to own that if he's ever going to turn his career around. He's been available since just after the trade deadline and no team took a flyer on him, so he needs to recognize that he needs to rehabilitate his reputation and prove he can still contribute to a winning team. We're willing to give him the chance to do just that. If he bets on himself, takes this offer, and proves he still belongs in the league, he can opt out next year and surely secure a much more lucrative contract. Otherwise, well ... the truth is that teams haven't been beating down his door since February, and he'll receive a real opportunity for minutes in Detroit (especially if we have to trade Boban Marjanovic at some point this season for salary cap purposes, which is a very real possibility).
