Would be a fun team to watch irl.

That is an insane running team.

Jon has stockpiled a ton of talent - Ewing/KG/Iggy/Clyde/Dame - may be light on spacing and I don't know about the synergy, but quite a lineup.

I like Jons team, but sometimes the lack of shooting really hurts in voting.

Right now Laimbeer has made one of his make up picks, but still has one more to go - to be picked whenever.

Jon has been on the clock for his last pick since 6PM Eastern time and has 1 hour and 18 minutes left until it is fade's turn.

durantbird wrote:Draft Rules:

1. All NBA seasons from 1989-90 to 2024-25 are eligible, subject to the restrictions outlined below.

2. You will be required to draft a total of 8 players in 8 rounds. Each of your players must play a minimum of 8 minutes in your rotations. Any player chosen in a season that is pre-merger will have a multiplier of 0.85 applied against their actual fga, rounded to closest 0.1.

3. Your team will be allowed a combined total of 88.0 FGA with a minimum of 3.0 FGA per player corresponding with the specific seasons indicated for each player. NOTE: You may pick a player whose actual FGA number was lower than 3.0, but you still be charged 3.0 for that player.

4. Each player you select must have played at least 50% of regular season games in the season selected. He needs to play at least 50% of his games for an eligible franchise.

5. Eligible players are those who did not win a championship with the NBA team they first played for.

A player won a ring in a given year if he's marked as such in basketball reference. A "team" means every official-history iteration of the franchise.

Clarification: players like LeBron James or Jason Kidd whose first clubs were Cavs/Dallas but won a ring in their second iteration with the club, are still ineligible.

6. We will be doing a modified snake draft. It will go like this: ABBABABA.

7. Players will get a maximum of a 2-hour window to make their selection when they are on the clock. If you still have not chosen a player by then, or if the player you have chosen is ineligible, you will be skipped. Also, if you know ahead of time that you won't be available to make your pick on the clock then please PM your selection to another participant. NOTE: If you miss one pick and have failed to make it by the time your next pick comes around, you will be skipped.

8. The clock will be turned off between 12 midnight and 9 AM EDT.

9. Draft order will be completely randomized.

10. After you have made your draft selection, please quote and/or PM the person that goes after you so they will know that it is their turn and they are on the clock. You may not change your pick after it has been made, even if the next person in the order has not picked yet. Please note that the clock starts whenever the previous drafter has either made their pick or their two-hour window has expired, even if the next person is not quoted.

11. The winner of the draft will be determined by polls. AI will be used as a single vote when a matchup is tied and stuck.

Team Roster Page Rules:

You will be responsible for creating a roster page for your fantasy team. Here are the things that you will be required to include on your roster page:

. Players
. Rotations
. Draft selections
. The most important of all, you must show the total FGA per player on your roster AND a total sum of each players FGA to display that it is under the required 88.0 FGA

-All of the above must be completed before playoffs/rankings

Pretty surprised he wasn't taken as a starter. But he's a great backup, too.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Ah, you’re using 2006 Zo.

I am using peak Mutombo. His lockout year is just cheap enough. And as much as I love JJJ I needed another center who could eat a lot of minutes. He’s also a handy answer to traditional 7 footers.

I didn't feel very inspired in this one honestly. Embiid was the right pick but he and Shai as a pairing don't leave much room to get creative.

Oddly, in spite of what some may consider to be an underwhelming team, I was very inspired in this one which is partially why I came back for this after so long.

I had a couple of thoughts in my head about team building that have been festering in my head for a couple months and this was the most therapeutic manifestation of those feelings. whatever happens, I enjoyed creating this team in a way that was different from teams I built in the past.
