team options need to be decided upon right away.

Also I think team are allowed to renounce a free agents rights whenever (I'll have to look it up later to make sure)

i can check once you update roster/salaries, but $5.7 million pretty much = no cap space. (Value of MLE)

makes no differance for free agency, but the cap space does enable you to take on salary via trade

What about unguaranteed contracts? When do they have to be turned down/picked up?

Cap hold = 100% of salary scale
Actual contract = 120% of salary scale

Right, but I'm not sure how we're going to do it with RFAs.

So for the people wanting to withdraw the QO - this could get complicated. Skorff, any ruling here?

I think we should allow a QO to be rescinded up to a week after we start FA. That should fit reasonably well within the timeframe of this game.

Besides any team needing to rescind a QO to get capspace for an offer on a max FA would want to rescind said QO before FA starts or they won't even get a chance to make a run at one of those desired FAs as they will most likely be snatched up in that 1st week of FA.

timeframe of this game? If that were the case, team should have 3 months to resind. Real NBA draft is like 3 hours ours is over a a week long.

NBA teams have 23 days into free agency to resind, why would that equal a week?

Come on now. We all know full well the drafting part of this game is a whole different animal and wastes entirely too much time. When we look at the game as a whole we see that we have gone through 2 seasons in half the time it takes the NBA to go through 1.

I think a week is more than enough time.

I honestly would have zero problem letting a team have 23 days after FA starts to rescind a QO as that would rule said teams out of the big name sweepstakes since they will all be gone by then.

I'd just like to point out that New Orleans can have around 17.3m in space by renouncing bird rights... I've currently got 10 players under contract, one 2nd round pick down, and three remaining:

Tayshaun Prince 11,147,760
Brandon Roy cap hold 11,732,448
Kevin Love 3,638,280
Andray Blatche 3,260,331
Chris Wilcox 2,080,000
Jarrett Jack 2,000,000
Solomon Alabi 1,599,300 (#13 scale)
Eric Maynor 1,546,560
Nicolas Batum 1,196,760
Mario Chalmers 854,389
William Buford 473,604
Cap Hold 473,604

40,030,036
(57,300,000)

Max Space = 17,269,964

EDIT: speaking of... NOH renounce Battie, Hayes, Butler - we now only have the Bird rights to Przybilla.

you have less then that if you keep Przybilla's bird rites, but sure you would renounce his rites in a max FA wants to come

I was wondering when you would get around to renouncing those players. Figured you might hold onto Pryzbilla for a S&T though...

exactly. Przy is a nice piece, but not worth letting a max FA slip away!

BTW, is there a more perfect player to compliment James than Roy?

Alright, I don't have time to update the cap space for a couple of teams, I will get it done in the next couple of days; sorry for the inconvenience.
