The Memphis Grizzlies sign Sean May to a two year deal for the min. 2nd year TO

The Memphis Grizzlies and Atlanta Hawks have agreed to the following:

Atlanta sends:

Elton Brand:14,878,452
Randolph Morris : 855,189
Total: 15,713,661

Memphis sends:
DeMar DeRozan - $2,282,640
Eddy Curry - $10,500,423
Amir Johnson - $3,941,667
2013 Memphis 1st
Total: 16,724,730

We're sad to lose Derozan in this deal, but we couldn't pass up the chance to land a refreshed Elton Brand.

Atlanta confirms. Ultimately, Brand's contract runs for too long, and kills much of the team flexibility. We believe that DeRozan will be a great, cheaper replacement for VC in a few years, and also pick up a young backup PF with a fair amount of potential. Curry has nowhere to go but up; at worst, he turns into a much shorter contract than Brand's, and the 1st just sweetens the deal.

While Nate Robinson is a great spark off the bench, we felt that Maxiell was overpaid and that J.R Smith was a piece that was worth considerably hurting our bench for. He is 23 or 24 and has allstar upside.

Knicks accept, we were bored, and get a SG that fits better next to Jameer, and one of the best big man in the league in Gasol. We give up a lot of depth, and two picks, which was real concerning for us, along with two of our integral pieces in Monta/Okafor, but like what Smith, and Gasol bring to the table.

Boston and Oklahoma City have come to an agreement

Boston sends Grant Hill (3,000,000) to Oklahoma City for J.J. Redick ($2,839,408), 2012 Memphis 2nd Rounder

Why for Boston

Shave salary off in the long term and gain an asset for the future. Hill is playing behind too many people to count, so it was necessary to allow him the chance to play. In Oklahoma I feel he could be a primary back-up to Melo and Harden both.

Forgot to mention, before making the deal, I'll waive Bobby Jackson.

Toronto and San Antonio have a deal to announce:

Rasho Nesterovic ($1.99M)
for
Juwan Howard ($1.31M)
DeJuan Blair ($850K)

Obviously works. Raptors accept. Blair's younger, but the poor get poorer. I need some big centers.

Confirmed. With Hayes at PF we continue the defense first movement, and concentrate on fit with this trade. Rasho is one of the better backup C's in the league and we love his game, he is also a legit 7 footer, and a true C.

Nuggets and Blazers have agreed to a trade.

Nuggets trade:

Kwame Brown: $4,000,000

Nuggets Recieve:

Martell Webster: $4,344,000

Blazers trade:

Martell Webster: $4,344,000

Blazers Recieve:

Kwame Brown: $4,000,000

The trading of JR Smith left a void at the backup wing positions. Given Webster's overall skillset and ability to play both wing positions if called upon to do so, we are pleased to add him to our young and versatile nucleus. Could be an excellent addition to the second unit and is likely to see minutes behind both Kevin Martin and Richard Jefferson.

Boston waives Eddie House

Boston has three trades to announce.

Trade 1: Boston Sends Pietrus to Orl for a portion of their Hedo TPE and 2012 2nd Obviously works

Why: we clear long term capspace at a position we're already strong at.

Trade 2: Boston sends Ray Allen (18,776,860) and Luis Amundson (845,000) to Orl for Joel Pryzbilla (6,857,725) and Gerald Wallace (9,500,000) Obviously works.

Why: we turn an expiring star into a semi start in Wallace with a lot of good years left and a great defensive and rebounding C.

Trade 3: (three way trade) Boston Sends Lamar Odom (7,500,000) to LA for Casspi (1,167,000), Rodriguez (1,576,696), and Delfino (3,000,000) Obviously Works
LA sends Andy V (6,363,636) to Sacto for Lamar Odom (7,500,000) Obviously works
Sacto sends Casspi (1,167,000), Rodriguez (1,576,696), and Delfino (3,000,000) to Boston for Andy V (6,363,636) Obviously works.

Why: I sned out a guy I never really wanted and cut a nice amount of future salary. In the process I also acquire two useful players fo rthis year and a nice future prospect.

Blazers accept. This is solely a salary move as we continue to clear space for 2010. Plus, we have acquired a solid young defensive post. Webster was solid, but we feel he wasn't worth his contract.

OKC accepts. I'm a huge Hill fan, even now. He should help bolster the bench for us.
