Pistons and Nets have agreed upon a deal.

Nets send Kris Joseph to Detroit for nothing, works as he's a minimum.

Pistons Incoming
Nicolas Batum ($15,000,000)

Nets Incoming
OJ Mayo ($8,000,000)
Tiago Splitter ($3,944,000)

Total: $11,944,000.00 X 1.25 = $14,930,000 + 100,000 > $15,000,000

Deal Works.

Pistons accept. We think Joseph has the potential to become the next LeBron.

New Jersey accepts. We wanted to get our cap under control and feel Splitter - with 2 years of learning from Duncan is ready to assume the full time starting Center position. He will be a solid contributor on both ends of the floor and NJ had an abundance of SGs. Hated to lose Nic, but had to move a major piece for a Splitter/Mayo package and filled a position of greater need. Nice working with you TMAC.

#299 Indiana and Atlanta

Indiana utilises $3.4m of the TPE generated in trade #252 - Granger/Holiday for Rondo, to absorb Derek Fisher from Altanta. This creates a $3.4m TPE for Altanta.

Indy accepts. We needed a backup PG on a very short term deal. Derek Fisher is a great leader and mentor for the youung guys, hits clutch shots, and won't be required to play many minutes. We are also collecting players, aiming for 20 and still one short! ;)
There is no consolation prize. Winning is everything.

#300. Indiana and Orlando have agreed a trade.

Indiana sends:

Tyler Honeycutt - $809,875

in exchange for nothing. Works as Honeycutt is on a 2nd rounder min deal.

We wish Tyler well but with another 5 SF's on the books he's just not gonna get minutes.
There is no consolation prize. Winning is everything.

ATL accepts. I like FIsher as a mentor, but as a small market team, I prefer the extra cap.

301. Yeah it's Indiana again, this time with Charlotte.

Indiana trades:

Dante Cunningham - $2,090,000

Absorbed into Charlotte's $2.4m TPE generated in the Kemba / Conley trade.

At Indy we like Dante's workrate but just don't have a space for him on the roster, sadly.

Dante has been a pretty decent role player in Memphis. Hope he will provide the same effort here in Charlotte.

#302 Minnesota, Houston, and Cleveland:

Minnesota outgoing: Amir Johnson($6,050,000) + Raja Bell($2,000,000) + Chris Wilcox($854,389) + Jon Leuer($762,195) + 2014 NOH 2nd, and 2014 Orlando 2nd + $3m in cash = $9,666,584 X 1.5 = $14,499,876
Incoming: Emeka Okafor($13,490,000)

Houston outgoing: Emeka Okafor($13,490,000)
incoming: Hakim Warrick($4,000,000) + Daniel Gibson($4,792,332) + Jon Leuer($762,195) + 2014 NOH 2nd = $9,554,527

Cleveland outgoing: Hakim Warrick($4,000,000) + Daniel Gibson($4,792,332) = $8,792,332
incoming: Raja Bell($2,000,000) + Amir Johnson($6,050,000) + Chris Wilcox($854,389) + 2014 Orlando 2nd + $3m in cash = $8,904,389

Minnesota accepts. Really needed a center, Okafor is a good defender, rebounder, and a solid player around the basket.

Cavs accept. Boobie and Warrick are expirings and we get a great young bench player in Amir plus the future 2nd and cash.

Houston accepts. We are in cost saving mode, and Jon Leuer is our new Chandler Parsons, but taller and more bearded. The NOH 2nd is icing.

303
Houston and Charlotte have a deal

Chris Anderson (2,330,000) for Dante Cunningham (2,090,000). Salary clearly works.

Houston does it because we like Villanova basketball. Also, we get an expiring, and don't worry about Birdman around our youth. Finally, because the next step after trading a starting center should always be to trade a quality backup.

Deal.
Might be expensive in the long run, but I needed a defensive Center.....got one.

304
Houston and SAS have a deal

Calderon (10,561,982) for Joseph (1,074,720)/Buford (730,473)/Dunleavy (3,750,000)/Randolph (4,049,523) for a total of 9,604,716

Fits well within salary bounds.

Houston does it for 3 reasons: 1) It gets us a Joseph and Buford. 2) It clears a million in salary now, 3) It ensures Darko is our biggest contract (ignoring the waived Biedrins).

Deal.
Been itching to make a move with this team. Calderon is still a good PG and that was the biggest weakness of this team.

#305 Indiana and Charlotte have agreed a trade.

Charlotte sends:

Anthony Parker - $854,389

Indiana sends:

Keith Bogans - $854,389
Jason Kapono - $854,389

Works as all guys are minimums.

We cut down another roster spot

Trade 306

New Jersey Sends
OJ Mayo ($8M); Carl Landry ($5M) & Nick Young ($6.5M) = $19.5M; to
Orlando for
Gerald Wallace ($18M - Thanks Chicago! but he is worth a High Draft pick per yesterdays deal) &
Rudy Fernandez ($2M) = $20M - Deal Works

The Nets are pleased to get an elite SF - hustle guy - boarding and defensive demon to team with Iggy who will slide to his natural SG spot. Rudy is a reliable backup - facilitator & streak shooter. Love moving our depth for the quality upgrade in a position of need (but I am still bitter about CHI excalating the salaries on these guys!) Great dealing with you ORL - feels like a win win.

Trade #307
Memphis and Cleveland have a Blockbuster trade to announce:
Cleveland in: MEM 2014 2nd round pick (top 55 protected)
Memphis in: The most valuable player I've gotten so far: The rights to Emir Preldzic
It's great to have a national countrymen in Memphis with me and at almost no cost at all. Preldzic is officially untouchable for me right now lol

Trade 306(a)

NewJersey sends:
Rodney Stuckey - 8.5M; to

Cleveland for
Andrei Kirilenko (5.5) and DJ White (2M)

Deal works salary wise and gets Nets under cap to do trade 306 previously posted (Which might have been ok as was, but now it definitely complies).

With the shift in our roster - G Wall - this move allows the Nets to shore up the backup PF and SF spot. Stuckey is a great young combo guard and Tully treated me like a red headed step child in wrangling this deal for a broken down Russian and perinenal backup. Tough but fair. Glad to make it out as just a shell of my former GM self. thanks Tully!
