NewJersey sends:
Rodney Stuckey - 8.5M; to

Cleveland for
Andrei Kirilenko (5.5) and DJ White (2M)

Deal works salary wise and gets Nets under cap to do trade 306 previously posted (Which might have been ok as was, but now it definitely complies).

With the shift in our roster - G Wall - this move allows the Nets to shore up the backup PF and SF spot. Stuckey is a great young combo guard and Tully treated me like a red headed step child in wrangling this deal for a broken down Russian and perinenal backup. Tough but fair. Glad to make it out as just a shell of my former GM self. thanks Tully!

Cavs agree. Just glad to be rid of AK...he looks like the russian janitor at my work (who I also don't like).

Portland receives:
Kirk Hinrich - $3,500,000

Chicago receives:
Keyon Dooling - $854,389
Ryan Hollins - $854,389
Craig Smith - $854,389
2014 Charlotte 1st
Total - $2,563,167 --> * 150% = $3,944,751

Chicago accepts. Hinrich wasn't needed.

New Jersey Sends
OJ Mayo ($8M); Carl Landry ($5M) & Nick Young ($6.5M) = $19.5M; to
Orlando for
Gerald Wallace ($18M - Thanks Chicago! but he is worth a High Draft pick per yesterdays deal) &
Rudy Fernandez ($2M) = $20M - Deal Works

The Nets are pleased to get an elite SF - hustle guy - boarding and defensive demon to team with Iggy who will slide to his natural SG spot. Rudy is a reliable backup - facilitator & streak shooter. Love moving our depth for the quality upgrade in a position of need (but I am still bitter about CHI excalating the salaries on these guys!) Great dealing with you ORL - feels like a win win.

confirmed. didn't want to keep gwall's giant contract...although i do really like him as a player. his value in this game isn't great which is why i deconsolidated. mayo has great upside still and we like his youth/athleticism with nick young to help nashty and andre in the backcourt. great dealing NJN!

Deal.
Hinrich is needed.
Needed a backup defensive combo guard...got one.
Dammit...:

I've got Nurkic fever now.

Trade #309:
Memphis in: Brandon Jennings, Brandon Wright
New Jersey in: Kemba Walker, Mason Plumlee
Memphis gets a prolific scorer who has been going off lately. Kemba is nowhere near as good as Jennings right now and Plumlee isn't a sure thing right now.

K Walker/Plumlee (2,452+1.418= 3.8) to B Jennings (3.2+ .947= 4.14) $$ works.

Bold move on Nets part, but they confirm. GM is drinking the MJ Kool Aid that Kemba has the "IT" factor and is a killer in closing situations. The season has taken a toll on Kemba's game & his minute are off since the break - the rookie wall. But while Jennings is lightning it up, Kemba is developing into the mold of making everyone around him better and willing to make the pressure plays down the stretch. This is also a New CBA era move in getting the rising star on the rookie deal.

B Wright is a known quantity - great talent with low BBIQ and questionable motivation. Mason Plumlee is a can't miss role guy who will bring energy and smart play to all the lunch pail chores every team needs. Tough call, but Kemba has 3 more yrs and Jennings gets paid next year. Time will tell. Thanks for your patience ALTBoy - Nice dealing.

New Orleans outgoing: Marc Gasol($13,891,359) + Marvin Williams($5,000,000) + Xavier Henry($2,323,200) + Festus Ezeli($1,073,280) = $22,287,839 X 1.25 = $27,859,798

Philadelphia outgoing: Paul Pierce($16,790,345) + Ryan Anderson($7,500,0000) + Meyers Leonard($1,823,280) = $26,113,625

New Orleans accepts. Still not 100% sure on this, but I got bored with this team, lol. Love Meyers Leonard as a prospect, Pierce should be solid for a few more seasons, and Anderson will be a nice piece to pair with Favors.

Confirmed. Pierce had no future with my team, he is still a great player but too old for my core. We felt we needed a franchise C to pair with our backcourt and Gasol fits the bill. The best interior passer at his position, a good rebounder and scorer and an elite defender.

#312: NOH and ATL:

To Atlanta:
Paul Pierce ($16,790,345)
2014 HOU 2nd

Total: 16,790,345

To New Orleans:
Alec Burks ($2,111,160)
Quincy Miller ($2,126,520)
Marreese Speights ($4,300,000)
2013 MIA 1st (top 10 PRT, then UNPRT)

Total: 8,537,680

ATL has over 10M in cap and can make this work.

ATL accepts. First time I've made back to back trades in over 200 lol. I really hate this trade as Pierce is by far my least favorite player, but I guess it works. The past two trades have made my team a surefire playoff team that has leadership and heart to go far in the playoffs. I really wanted to build around my young core pieces (Monroe, Evans, Henson), and adding a leader like Pierce who can help in the locker room, down the stretch of games and as a leader is a great fit for my team. He also is close to Perkins, and it's always good to have your vets like each other.

NOH accepts. Might be selling Pierce a little short, but with his age, everyone seems to not like him. This is like trading Gasol for Miller(11th pick), Leonard(13th pick), Burks(9th pick last season), Speights, Anderson, and a future 1st, so 3 lotto picks and a couple good role players should be nice for our rebuilding team.

Washington and Houston have a trade to announce.

Wizards out:
Glen Davis - $6,300,000
Nikola Vucevic - $1,719,480
Total = $8,019,480

Rockets out:
Darko Milicic - $5,228,000

Rockets have the cap space to absorb the rest of the salary.

Wizards do this trade to rid ourselves of Davis' ugly contract, since Darko is only a partially guaranteed contract next year. Plus, we like Darko's ability as a backup center for us. Good dealing.

314: Houston and Atlanta

Travis Outlaw ($3,000,000)
2014 POR 1st

For

Rip Hamilton ($5,000,000)

ATL has a hair over 2M in cap to make it work.

ATL accepts. Outlaw isn't very good, and its good to turn crap and a future 1st into a quality player like Hamilton. He provides a good SG who can score 12-14 per consistantly.

Houston accepts. We get a starting center prospect, which has been tough for us to add. Davis isn't good, so while we tank/Vucevic continues to get the ropes of the nba, he will probably play big minutes.

Pistons and Rockets have agreed upon a deal.

Pistons Incoming
Mike Dunleavy ($3,750,000)

Houston Incoming
Wayne Ellingon ($2,083,042)
Magnum Rolle ($854,389)
2013 DET 2nd

Total: $2,937,431 X 1.25 = $3,671,788 + 100k = $3,771,788

Deal Works.

Pistons accept, needed a Rush replacement, and Dunleavy has been terrific this season (12/3/3 on 47/40/85 and 17/4/4 on 51/45/96 post all-star break).

Houston accepts. We get a much coveted late 2nd, and succeed in bringing our roster count to 20 while gaining room under the cap. Even more importantly, we have a Magnum Rolle.
