Total: $6,534,828

Bobcats trade/Portland receives:

Marquis Daniels $6,864,200
Renaldo Balkman $1,369,920
Derrick Byars $442,114 (minimum salary, doesn't count in total)

Total: $8,233,400

6,534,828 X 1.25 + 100,000 = 8,268,535
8,268,535 > 8,233,400

Blazers accept. We're happy to get a real backup SF in Daniels who can do just about everything. We had to give up Diogu to get this trade done, but Balkman is a solid energy guy who can play PF (especially with our other 3 big men).

Charlotte accepts. We pick up 3 young guys to help our team continue to rebuild.

The Pacers accept. We feel like we fill a lot of holes with this trade. We feel like Duhon is the perfect PG for this team, his assists should go up with the team around him, and he can play good defense. Crawford and Warrick will both provide the spark off the bench that this team had lacked. We feel like we got better and deeper with this trade.

Sacramento cuts Bobby Jackson, in hopes of some team will sign him and his contract will then come off the books.

Sacramento would like to resign Jason Collins and sign free agent Mario West to the league minimum

Posting for the Knicks:

The Knicks accept their portion of the three way deal with Indiana and Orlando.

We paid a lot considering we might drop in the draft as well as give up a future second and Crawford but we are high on Brandon Rush. He's a very good shooter and potentially a very good defender. Plus we're able to shave a couple million off our cap in 2010. We could finish with a ton of cap that year if a couple more rumored deals go down.

I would like to point out that
Andrew Bynum extension was signed on Oct 31. so it doesn't count in our league and is a FA this summer.

Well, the first post in this thread was Sept 20th

Going off of Hoopshype.com

In terms of extensions

Francisco Garcia extension (Sept 25)
Jeff Foster extension (Oct 10)
Andrew Bynum extension (Oct 30)
Martell Webster extension (Oct 31)
Jason Maxiell extension (Oct 31)
Stephen Jackson extension (Nov 17)

*Allan Houston was signed on Sept 25th, so he is a FA in our league, I remember someone wanted to sign him a while back*

Danny Granger also, I already asked Cash about it at the beggining of the game, but I haven't found his salary with the extension yet.

Wait, what I'm saying is, earlier in the game, Cash had said if a player signed an extension it would count in the game. I had asked him if I could resign Danny Granger before it happened and he said once it happened in real life it would count.

That is why I put Bynum's salary numbers on my roster page. Same thing happened with Ben Gordon to an extent except Cellar Door couldn't even make him available for trade until he signed a contract.

The Bucks and Nuggets have a deal to announce

Nuggets send
Mike Miller
Nuggets receive
Zydrunas Illgauskus

Bucks trade
Zydrunas Illgauskus
Bucks receive
Mike Miller

Math

Nuggets Out
$9,128,575 x 1.25= $11,410,720
Nuggets In
$10,841,615
Math works

WOW! So excited for the deal. I needed a C before the end of trading and I got one in Big Z. It's hard to lose such a great fit in Mike Miller, but this deal is very good for both sides. Wish Miller all the luck in Milwaukee

Bucks accept. We needed to balance out the roster, and we save over 3 million dollars in the process.

I was reading the thread and just wanted to say that the game started before Rip signed that extension so it doesn't apply to the game.. I don't think he was expiring so it doesn't matter.. but thought I would point this out. (Also, my comment has nothing to do with the actual trade.)

dcash4 wrote:trades approved.

and yeah, bcortell, u are right about rip. i keep forgetting that stuff. luckily rip wasn't expiring so the benefits of his contract status vs that of boozer still holds weight.

It wouldn't make sense to include the contract extensions. Extensions are signed under completely different scenarios, just like, a trade in real life doesn't apply in our league. For example, both Jeff Foster and Francisco Garcia signed extensions after the game started, however, the GM currently owning those players may not want the new contract extension or had any plans with either player past this year in which they would previously had expired.
It would be the same as, if Iverson/Wally/O'Neal/Raef/etc. signed a massive contract today with their current team in real life, it doesn't apply to our league, since the owner of Wally could be looking to use him as a massive expiring.
