#316 Minnesota and Houston

Minnesota accepts. We like Cunninghams hustle, defense, and solid mid-range jumper.

Houston accepts. We get a much coveted late 2nd, and succeed in bringing our roster count to 21 while gaining room under the cap. Even more importantly, we still have a Magnum Rolle.

Minnesota sends: Metta World Peace($2,500,000) x 1.5 = $3,750,000

Atlanta sends: Brandon Rush($3,500,000)

Minnesota accepts. Wanted to get a little younger player, and I'm a KU fan and still love Rush.

ATL accepts. World Peace gives us some defense against other teams (the evils of this world).

Portland Trailblazers -
LaMarcus Aldridge $14,000,000 || $15,128,000 || $16,256,000

Cleveland Cavaliers -
Demarcus Cousins $3,880,800
Rodney Stuckey $8,500,000
Total - 12,380,800 x1.5 = 18,571,200

Never honestly thought I was going to end up trading Aldridge, but then Cousins who I think is going to be the 2nd best center in the league for a long time came along, and he also was willing to pair him with Stuckey. I could pass that deal up. Now I have to make more moves though.

Cavs accept. While Cousins is young and supremely talented, he can be a knucklehead. We think LMA will be the perfect mentor to Andre Drummond to build a dominating front court for years to come.

#319 Indiana and NOH have agreed a trade.

Indy sends:

Devin Ebanks - $2.5m

NOH sends:

Jeremy Evans - $2m

We like Evans potential and if nothing else he can catch a few lobs from Wall and get the fans going.
There is no consolation prize. Winning is everything.

Noh accepts. Crowded at pf and evans was the odd man out, ebanks will battle with miller/pondexter/aminu for sf minutes and some backup sg.

Minnesota sends: Chuck Hayes($5,486,250)

SAS sends:
Reggie Williams($2,612,500) + CJ Miles($3,000,000) = $5,612,500

Minnesota accepts, save a little future salary.

#321 Minnesota and Cleveland:

Minnesota sends: CJ Miles($3,000,000)

Cleveland sends: Raja Bell($2,000,000) X 1.5 = $3,000,000

Minnesota accepts. Save a little salary, Miles wouldn't get PT here.

Cavs accept. I can move Smith back to SG and get Miles some bench minutes at SF.

#322 Minnesota and Houston

Minnesota sends: Raja Bell($2,000,000) + Sebastian Telfair($854,389) = $2,854,389 X 1.5 = $4,281,583

Houston sends:
Anthony Randolph($4,049,523)

Minnesota accepts. Like AR's potential a lot, hopefully he will continue to improve under Rick Adelman, and he will be able to see minutes at the 4 or the 5, if he doesn't pan out, he's an expiring.

SA accepts.
Hayes is one of the better big defenders on a nice contract.

Toronto out / New Jersey in:
Andrea Bargnani - $10,000,000
Marcus Thornton - $7,000,000
James Johnson - $2,812,006
Total - $19,812,006

New Jersey out / Toronto in:
Andre Iguodala - $14,718,250
Andre Kirilenko - $5,500,000
D. J. White - $2,000,000
Total - $22,218,250

Toronto accepts. Offense for defense, basically; I think Curry / Iggy / Gallinari / Varejao / Valanciunas will be a more balanced lineup than Curry / Thornton / Gallinari / Bargnani / Varejao.

New Jersey confirms. Defense for Offense summarizes the deal, but it was a tough decision. NJ entertained a number of offers for Iggy, but felt Toronto's offer made the most sense. We retain an elite - offensive SG (#3 to #6or 7 rated on ESPN & CBS). We were lacking in fire power, but Thornton's offense helps balance the defense Wallace and Thompson will bring. In the end, this became an AK47 for Andrei Bargnani trade. Bargs is the ultimate stretch guy - AND is the most improved Defensive player in the Association (came from last!). His Drtg has gone from 115 to 106 this year.l (LMA & BGriffin are 104). James for White also balanced our rosters so this was a solid deal all around I enjoyed the negotiations with Toronto.

324 Indiana and New Jersey have agreed a trade.

Indiana trade:

JJ Redick $6,190,000
Hasheem Thabeet - $854,389
= $7,044,389 (*1.5 + 100k = 10,666,583)

New Jersey trade:

Channing Frye - $6,000,000
Rudy Fernandez - $3,500,000
Terrence Ross - $1,134,500
= $10,634,500

Deal works in 150% rule.

Why for Indy? We're just looking to shake things up.
There is no consolation prize. Winning is everything.

New Jersey accepts. We just dealt for the ultimate stretch 5 in Bargs and Channing was expendable. We do feel that JJ is an upgrade at the SG over Rudy and did not see Ross getting a lot of play with the abundance of Guards. Had to decided betw Ross and Elliot Williams who I really like.
Thabeet can be bought out if roster space needed, but at 7'3" he is costing less than $1000 an inch which is a great value! The Nets get well under the cap and creates a roster space. Great dealing Luke.

325 Indiana and San Antonio have agreed a trade.

Indiana sends:

Terrence Ross $1,134,500
Zaza Pachulia $5,248,750
Derek Fisher $3,400,000
2013 2nd (IND)

Total - $9,783,250 (*1.5 = $14,674,875 - deal works)

San Antonio Sends

Wilson Chandler - $14,100,000

Followed by:

Jeff Foster ($854,389) to Indy for nothing - works as Foster is a min.

Why for Indy? We need a Small Forward desperately. Wilson Chandler earns a lot, but I'd have to overpay to bring in a similar FA so its a good move for us.
There is no consolation prize. Winning is everything.
