I can't beleive im going to type this!

Lakers outgoing:

Kobe Bryant (yeah i said it) $24,806,250
Steve Blake $4,000,000
2011 LAL 2nd
2011 Miami 2nd

Total Salaries: $28,806,250

Memphis outoing:

O.J. Mayo $4,456,200
Rudy Gay $13,603,750
Marc Gasol $3,580,247
Demarre Carroll $1,085,400
Darrell Arthur $1,123,680

Total Salaries: $23,849,277 x 1.25 % plus 100,000 = $30,011,596
Deal Works.

Why?

We do this to stick to our plan and rebuild the Lakers. I honestly can not beleive im moving Kobe Bryant, but its a game, and We were sick of seeing the Lakers win the "win now" category. We want to win the "win Future" Category for once. With that being said, Mayo might end up being the Triangle PG, but for right now he's Kobe's replacement. Gasol will back up Bynum giving me a sickning center combo, and were not sure what Gay will be on this team yet, but we like his youth, just not so much his contract. Good dealing B.I. and good luck building around Kobe now. We wish Kobe the best of luck in Memphis and Blake, sorry you didn't win a ring with LAL, which would have happened! ; )

Confirmed. We morgage our future for a shot to build a contender around a top 2 player in the league. We may shed salary and look to add a max FA in 2011. LA took Pau from us a few years ago, and now they get his brother. We'll take Kobe.

Trade approved. Kindly update rosters and transaction history. Blackice pls indicate draft pick status in your roster thread space. Tnx.

Portland and New York have another blockbuster to announce.

New York Outgoing/Blazers Incoming

Kobe Bryant $24,806,250
Ronny Turiaf $4,000,000

New York Incoming/Blazers Outgoing

Marcus Camby $10,110,750
Brandon Roy $13,520,500
$4.8M TPE (from Martell Webster Trade)

New York does this because we need a defensive prensence in the paint, that can block and rebound, and we get that with Camby. Although we lose Bryant, we get Roy, a younger version of Bryant (not as good). This makes our team more balanced.

In addition to this New York have another trade to announce.

NYK out/SAS in

Anthony Randolph $1,965,720
Bill Walker $854,389

NYK in/SAS out

Matt Bonner $2,750,000
George Hill $854,389

New York does this because we feel that we need a real impact of the bench, and we get that with Hill, a guy we really like. Bonner also gives up Championship experience with some 3pt shooting we need.

FIXED:Trade was off TPE was supposed to be seperate

Portland accepts...We're glad to be able to acquire somebody of Bryant's talent level to bring to play next to Duncan...I would've preferred to stay young but i couldn't pass up the chance to pair up these two on the same team....Miami watch out lol

Brandon Roy is BYC, and eyeballing the trade, it should not work.

That trade needs about $5m adding from Portland's side to get it working.

Spurs accept. The rebuild is on; high risk (if Oden keeps getting hurt every year, I've just traded Tim Duncan for Luke Babbitt), but high reward (if he doesn't keep getting hurt, he's a top center for a decade).

Spurs accept. Greg Popovich has had it too easy and we need Randolph to drive hm nuts for a couple of seasons. But once Pop straightens him out we have a hell of a defensive force.

WOW, a 2002 AS game, in Philly, picture with Toine and CWebb in the backround is the best you could find?

[Pending Approval of the Dampier / Okafor trade]

New Orleans have agreed a deal with the Dallas Mavericks.

New Orleans will send:

C- Erick Dampier - $13,078,000
SF- Quincy Pondexter - $1,073,280

for

C- Tyson Chandler - $12,600,000

Deal works ($12.6m *125% + £100k > $14.1m)

Why for New Orelans?

Simply put, we feel Tyson's injury woes are behind him, and with his best days being alongside Chris Paul, we are hopeful he can return to that form. It balances the roster out nicely for the coming season. We wish Quincy well for the future.
There is no consolation prize. Winning is everything.

New Orleans have announced another trade, this time with the Indiana Pacers

New Orleans sends:

James Posey - $6,478,600
Aaron Gray - $1,500,000
2011 1st (unprotected)
2013 2nd

for

TJ Ford - $8,500,000

the deal works!

Why for New Orleans? Well, my team is too tight to employ scouts, and I have no idea who is available in the upcoming draft, so I felt it better served as an asset to cut costs (much like the Aldrich/Peterson deal). We wish James and Aaron best of luck in the future, and look forward to adding in TJ as backup to Paul for the coming season.

Anyways, there's a few reasons we do this:
defense at the wings- Posey can still play it
capspace- we aren't really currently angling for it
future assets- a first this year will help us fill out our bench or float it in a future deal
Aaron Gray-every Bulls fan knows he's the best damned cheerleader in the NBA.

Also, (6478600+1500000)*1.25=9.97m, deal works.

Not so. Turiaf actually gets playing time. Gray's 48 minutes of cheerleading intensity beats that scrub.

PHI ad CHA have agreed to a trade:

Lou Williams - $5.00m
Ty Lawson - $1.55m
JR Smith - $6.69m
Chris Anderson - $3.94m
Willie Green - $3.98m

Total - $21.16m (x1.25 + $100k = $26.55m)

for

Jameer Nelson - $7.60m
Stephen Jackson - $8.45m
Boris Diaw - $9.00m

Total - $25.05m

Philly accepts.

We are excited to consolidate some assets into players we feel can appropriately surround Andre.

Williams has been a great producer for us over the years and we feel that he will thrive under Larry Brown's mentorship. Lawson is a fantastic prospect at the point and is already commanding respect when he steps onto the court. Smith, though still productive, and Green are expirings we were happy to use to facilitate this trade. CHA's frontcourt rotation of Thomas and Anderson will be a fantastic shot-blocking duo.
