Re: RGM 69-78 Dynasty Keeper Draft (BlackIce on the Clock)
Dick Snyder. He is a great all-around player that I am pleased to bring to my team. He is known for his high FG% and TS%. It's good to have a guy like this who can come off the bench and backup both wing spots for us. He was close to leading the league in FG% multiple years, and for a wing to do that is fantastic. We'll take him in the 70/71 season, where he was 19.4/4.3/3.1/(.531 FG%)/(.579 TS%).

Pair of defensive roleplayers to round out my rotation.
Mike Riordan
Vital cog in the 70s bullets machine and a member of the All-Defensive second team. Could play and defend either wing spot and was also a solid contributor offensively with his shot. Terrific addition to help round out our rotation.
Lionel Hollins
All defensive first team point guard and the starter for the 1977 NBA champion Blazer team. Also recognized as an All-Star the following year.

Re: RGM 69-78 Dynasty Keeper Draft (Kees on the Clock)
Sidney Wicks. We needed a scoring, versatile big off the bench and this fits that need. Wicks was the rookie of the year in his rookie year, but I'll take him the year after because he was more efficient and also a better passer. He is a very versatile scorer, and can beat defenders in many ways. I'll take him in the 72/73 season where he was 23.8/5.5/10.9.

Re: RGM 69-78 Dynasty Keeper Draft (MJallday on the Clock)
I'll go with Roger Brown.

In the playoffs for the champion Pacers, averaged 28.5 PPG, 10.1 RPG, 5.6 APG on .475 from the field, and .355 from distance.
The most clutch player the ABA has ever seen, the man Dr. J claimed he looked up to, and similarly modeled his game after. Possessing a devastating jump-shot, with blow by quickness and superb ball-handling, Brown was arguably one of the ABA's greatest one on one scoring forces to have ever played. Unquestionably a monster in the clutch leading his team to three ABA championships. Had nearly legendary, but oft forgotten duels with Rick Barry during his short tenure with the ABA:
"The best game I've ever seen -- without a doubt -- was between the Pacers and the Rick Barry-led Nets. In regulation, the Pacers were down by 3 with 2 seconds left when Freddie Lewis banked a 3 to send the game into overtime. In the overtime, the Pacers were down 1 with 10 seconds to go, and New York had the ball out of bounds. Roger Brown jumped in front of Barry and drew a charge. Then, the Pacers cleared out the floor for Brown, with Barry playing defense. With just 2 ticks on the clock "Rajah" drove to the basket and put up a soft finger roll. The ball rolled in and bedlam ensued. Barry scored 52 and Mr. Clutch, Roger Brown, had answered the bell once again."
He was one of the ABA's top-10 alltime scorers and the Pacer most likely to take—and hit—a shot when Indiana needed it most. Slick Leonard, his former coach, remembers Brown and Barry going one-on-one in the 1972 ABA finals. "It's hard to say who won the duel," Leonard says, "but we won the series. Now Rick's in the Hall of Fame, and nobody remembers Roger."
He was a team player, and showed when McGinnis joined the team, he could easily make the transition to the guard spot because of his ball-handling and quickness. He was a monster competitor, and while there isn't much I could find of his defense, here's a nice snippet I found showing he was more than capable.
-->Brown, who had been assigned to guard Stone the night before, was subtly prodded before the game by Indiana Coach Bob Leonard. "Roger," asked Leonard, who had mentioned that he might start old pro Tom Thacker to hold down Stone, "do you think you can cover that guy?" Brown replied, "I've got him." Along with his 53 points. Brown had 13 rebounds and six assists. Stone scored 19 points, but 10 of them came in the fourth quarter after the Pacers already led by 20. "The man is bad," said Mel Daniels after the game, referring to Brown in the curiously inverted current form of praise.

"The Man of A Thousand Moves." One on one play, three point shot, dribble drive, solid passer, good rebounder, efficient, and ridiculously clutch.

A young Erving looked at Brown as a role model: “His depth of knowledge made him someone who I wanted to watch and also watch out for. I was just running and jumping and trying to jump over people and (it helped) just to see what he was doing on the ground, knowing that he was a great jumper in his day but that by this time he had channeled his energies to be a complete player, be a team player and win championships. So he was already at a place that I was trying to get to.”
Barry says about Brown, “He certainly had a terrific basketball career and is probably one of the more underrated guys that most people don’t know a whole lot about. He is not really given the recognition that he deserves for the career that he had. He was just a very skilled and gifted player, especially on the offensive end of the court.”
Brown’s teammate Daniels offers this tribute: “I think you could sum it up simply like this. Those who did not see Roger Brown or didn’t know him, missed a treat…We ran an isolation play for him and he was so good one-on-one that I remember defenders actually screaming for help. He actually dislocated or broke eight guys’ ankles…I think that Michael Jordan is the best basketball player I have ever seen or one of the best. Roger Brown was right there in his class.”
