Renouncing isn't waivers. Those guys are UFAs already but renouncing them means I give up bird rights in order to get their cap hold off my books.

Tier 2 Results:

Lance Stephenson- Resigns with the Dallas Mavericks to a 5 year/$86,250,000 deal. He is happy being a huge part of that team and playing alongside great players like Dirk and Chandler. Once Dirk retires, he will most likely be the man on this team and he wants to prove he can do so. This is also the most money he was offered as the Mavs had his bird rights and could offer a 5th year.

Kyle Lowry - Signs with the Orlando Magic to a 4 year/$54,000,000 deal. Kyle is very excited to join a team that consists of Anthony Davis, Vucevic, Oladipo, and Gallinari. He feels like this team can be one of the best in the East for years to come. They also have a ton of flexibility going forward in terms of cap space/draft picks so they can continue to improve. Based on his play last year, he expected to be paid and was disappointed in the Raptors offer.

Luol Deng
- Signs with the Portland Trailblazers to a 4 year/$72,590,000 deal with a player option in the 4th year. Luol is extremely happy to go to one of the best teams in the league. He fits right in alongside Ibaka, Hibbert, Lillard, and Beal.

Rudy Gay - Signs with the Phoenix Suns to a 4 year/$58,412,640 deal with a player option in the 4th year. Rudy had two similar offers but chose to sign with the Suns because he feels they have a better chance of competing and he will get to play a big part in their success. He gets to play with Dragic, Holiday, and Tristan Thompson.

Zach Randolph - Signs with the Sacramento Kings to a 4 year/$56,000,000 deal with a player option in the 4th year. Gets to play alongside a rising star in Cousins and create havoc on the offensive end of the floor. This offer gives him the money he wanted and the opportunity to play on a good team.

Pau Gasol- Resigns with the Dallas Mavericks to a 3 year/$38,700,000 deal. Likes the money and the fact that he will be playing for a very good team. Though he may not start, he has been assured of 30+ minutes per game.

Greg Monroe - Signs with the Indiana Pacers to a 4 year/$64,050,000 deal. Will be the primary offensive option on this team and will play next to Joel Embiid, a great young big. Current team has 12 hours to match.

Gordon Hayward - The Denver Nuggets have sign and traded him to the San Antonio Spurs with a 4 year/$64,050,000 deal with a player option in the 4th year. There are two parts to the deal: Part 1 - Gordon Hayward for Marcus Smart / Part 2 - Trey Burke and Shabazz Mohammed to the Spurs for cap space. The teams involved must post the deal in the Trade Thread.

Evan Turner - Resigns with the Charlotte Bobcats to a 5 year/$42,500,000 deal with the 4th year having an ETO. The Bobcats have a nice team with a mix of young guys and vets and Turner wants to help this team make deep playoff runs.

Eric Bledsoe - Signs with the Indiana Pacers to a 4 year/$64,050,000 deal. Gets the oppurtunity to be the leader of a young up and coming team and potentially play with Monroe. Current team has 12 hours to match.

Avery Bradley - Signs with the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 2 year/$6,090,000 deal. Current team has 12 hours to match.

Isaiah Thomas - Will drop to Tier 3

Ed Davis - Will drop to Tier 3

Patrick Patterson - Will drop to Tier 3

Greivis Vasquez - Will drop to Tier 3

P.J. Tucker - Will drop to Tier 3

Tier 3 is now open.

I tired to sign Deng for a MLE that MIN has but instead took the 18 million. Come on, why take the money. Haha

Yeah I agree, a lot of money haha. I am actually pretty surprised that Stephenson would resign with the Mavs though, even with all that money.

Given this result, the Raptors have no choice but to ask the commissioner to conduct an official review of whatever happened with the San Antonio pick. Part of the reasoning provided for Lowry leaving was additional picks, something we lost when San Antonio could not account for how the pick was protected in future drafts through no fault or wrongdoing by Toronto.

I ask that the Raptors get San Antonio's unprotected first round pick in 2015. The pick was Top 8 protected in 2014 and no specifications were made by either side. No effort was made to clarify the protection of the pick in subsequent years. To assume the pick extinguishes after one year is faulty logic. As there is no specification to the contrary, it is reasonable to assume there is no protection and the pick becomes unprotected after 2014.

Can teams that match offers on max offers for RFAs trade them after matching the max offer? Or does the same no-trade rule apply?

Can they trade them potentially to the Pacers or are we preventing from pursuing them because we signed them to an offer sheet? I never know what RL rules translate and which ones don't and this one isnt clearly specified in the rules.

I believe they can trade the player to any team, but commish should probably confirm

Correct. Max FA that were matched can be traded to any team, even those that originally signed them to an offer sheet.
