I'll take this guy. Provides me with flexibility in terms of position and FGAs.

Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Can't help cementing my defense with a 2 way wing. I'll take Andre Iguodala

Alrighty.
Lemme get PJ Brown.
Super underrated big in these games. All NBA Level defender, sweet mid range jumpshot, solid rebounding. There's a reason the Lakers tried to trade for this guy many times over in the early 2000s. They knew how perfect he'd be with Shaq.

Re: 60s/80s/00s Split-Eras Draft Thread (Snakebites OTC)
I have two primary targets here, Bde could take either one... But Odom going off the board right before me means I have no backup option to this guy so I have to take him here just in case I don't get another chance.

Clifford Robinson. I'm gonna start him at SF and play half his minutes at PF. Good shooter, solid all-around scorer, all-defensive 2nd team in the 99-00 season I'm taking. Perfect 2-way guy that means I have no weak-spots on either side of the ball on my whole starting 5, every guy is at least a capable scorer and a quality defender.

Well after arguing for option to have deeper teams, I am going to have a 7 man rotation. They both will come off the bench as super subs and I think make real impacts.

Re: 60s/80s/00s Split-Eras Draft Thread (BdeRegt OTC)
Yeah, I'm going the 7-man rotation route with two "super-subs" too. I love this guy too much not to take him here, and I think he's a great fit for my team.

Terry Porter. Provides some needed additional play-making and offensive fire-power in the backcourt, his 10.9 FGA is well worth what he provides for this late in the draft. Harper can play backup 2 so Porter can get 24-28 minutes at "backup" point guard. I'm pretty happy with Porter and Battier as a bench, those two offer a lot and fit perfectly.

Re: 60s/80s/00s Split-Eras Draft Thread (BdeRegt OTC)
Have you ever wondered what the 1989 Cleveland Caveliers would look like if you replaced Brad Daugherty with a prime Shaquille O'Neal and threw Paul Pierce into the mix for good measure?
Well, wonder no more!
I select the real Ron Harper. The one who racked up 10 win shares and averaged 18/5/5 alongside Mark Price and Larry Nance. That core won 57 games and gave Jordan's Bulls a legitimate run for their money in the first round of the playoffs.
He's probably playing the 6th man role on this team, but the fit and chemistry is beyond reproach.

Its a shame this guy is normally chosen for his low FGA years, because he was a legitimate all star level talent for the Cavs.

Really happy with these 7, feels like I'm strong across the board. Give me James Worthy
